  • nice finds guys. its good to see others treasure hunting/metal detecting. it inspires me to go out more often. keep up the good videos.

  • i only dug up 1 buffalo nickel last year. hoping for a better turnout this year. lucky!!

  • what machine are you using now.

  • @metaldetectorguy4 im still using the same Minelab SE Pro that I used in the vid, thanks for watching buddy.

  • you guys are awesome! makes me want to go digging in the frozen dirt right now, oh well maybe I'll have to plan a trip somewhere south where the conditions are a touch more favorable :)

  • i got a question, What exatly do you do with the coins/rings etc,? do you profit out of them?

  • @GroundShakersz I just keep them but a lot of people sell them for profit.

  • Hey I have a few questions do u recamend the Garrett ace. 250 I might get one

Another question is has any one of your metal detectors paid for it's self and do u think that ace 250 might pay for it's self

  • @SKATEBOARDINGGHP Yes the Ace 250 is a good machine, and yes my Ace paid for itself with 1 of my finds (18k mans ring I sold for $335). Thanks for watching bud and good luck metal detecting.

  • Nice finds but stop rubbing the coins.

  • @pennysarecute2 I know just a bad habbit - im better now LOL

  • I hope that you guys have improved your coin-cleaning techniques in the past couple of years. Watching and listening to you grinding the soil off of the coins just makes me want to barf.

  • @MtnWing Yea were better now lol

  • Good Hunting!

  • I found a antaloupe dime! and a chicken penny!

  • Wish I could find a spot like that. I bought the Viper Trident because it was the cheapest I could find that was land water and diving. I live near the ocean, but don't dive. What kind of detector do you use?

  • If it had been a rare gold coin, you might have reduced the valur by rubbing it like that. It's kind of like sandpapering it.

  • where can i get a trowel like the red one?

  • @bunchalinks Its called a "Leche Digging Tool", I got mine on ebay, thanks for watching.

  • i was at this place called marion music hall, and sitting on the lawn not covered by dirt was a mercy dime. i lost it when i moved to a new house.

  • Nice phone, That was a phone from back when it was for was making calls. I also loved the "gold" coin. I was about as wowed as you .i said to myself, "All right ,great find" and then like you the let down came.lol

Take care and thanks for sharing this video..

  • How do you know it's a school site? There looks to be no foundation or wood?

  • Maybe you should sand those coins down a bit more and maybe then you can read the dates?

You'll be very sorry when you scratch the hell out of a fine key date!

  • you guys are the best cus u guys get pumped up and excited with these finds. most of these metal detectors are boring and uninterested. u guys rock

  • "cool... let ya know when we find something else"

  • From the land of the Bluenose.....gud day out and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.....doesn't git much better youz!

  • PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP RUBBING COINS WHEN YOU PULL THEM OUT OF THE GROUND!!!! THEY'VE RESTED WAITING TO BE FOUND AND YOU CAN SCRATCH THE HELL OUT OF THEM BY RUBBING!!!!! Take a small paint brush 1/2" wide and cut the bristles down short for a stiff, non-damaging brush!!!

  • My first Merc was a 1924 ;)

  • Great video man makes me want to dust of the detector and head out into the rain...I actually believe your vid is real and the coin and the end was not planted. Keep searching.

  • I've always been very interested in metal detecting but have never had the funds for a detector or time. Im now off work injured and as part of my rehab envolvs extensive walking so i thought its time to buy a detector and have some fun with rehab/excercising .. my question to anyone out there what is a really good priced model that is accurate and wont break my bank? thanks for any suggestions in advance folks!

  • cool finds keep it up guys : )

  • I'd fuckin go nuts if I ever did that and ran across someone's bones....

  • that was the second cell phone i ever had

  • so u look usauly look for silver.

  • GREAT FINDS! I'm subbing!

  • great hunting

  • How do you know what signal it is, I do not understand what you mean by signal, can you enplane.

  • @geraldlee33 different types of metal gives off a different signal or sound. I just listen for the sounds that im looking for then dig them.

  • @TreasureFiend is it in the manual what sound silver or gold would give?

  • love old school houses in woods nice finds guys!!!! i bet that site continues to pay off, gl guys and happy hunting....what setting do you use to pick up golf balls haaaa...

  • great fun to watch

  • Thats cool!!

  • Great video.!!!

    Please post more.

    Happy hunting.

  • Love the Vid, but for pity's sake, quit rubbing the coins to get the dirt off!!! If you do find a super rare key date, you will lower the value! You of course prob already know that, lol.

  • Mercury dime = Some poor kid lost his/hers lunch money.

  • TreasureFiend@ can i start with GC-1023?

  • you guys need to take a vacation to somewhere in europe where you can find some REALLY old stuff :D

  • Great! I've been looking for a Metal Detecting Youtube Channel. Going to the beach for fishing/crabbing and while there's a low tide we'll be doing this. Been watching videos on the subject and you have one of the, by-far, best videos. Thanks! and Keep it up!

  • as far as hefty---som gold coins are very thinly made---but that's a token, huh?

  • tht looks fun ;), creepy how u found a burried phone tho

  • cool man!

  • what kind of metal detector is being used

  • wear can i get a wand or how ever u spell it cuz i hate haveing 2 grab the detector 2 check the hole

  • nice tool, that's how you dig!

  • This is a great video. I'm about to purchase my "first" metal detector! What would you suggest? Many thanks RP

  • great fun! I am itching to get out to an old school site I know of to see what I can "dig up". Keep the great vids coming. beginnermetaldetectingdotcom

  • @magneticwebmastery Man what are you waiting for, go dig some treasure and be sure to film it for us!!!!

  • Great hunting! Keep it up and have the best of luck.

  • @JRCrowley Thanks buddy and best of luck to you too!!!

  • why would you bring a little digging tool to a site in the woods hell bring a small shovel make it easier on yourself lol

  • @syko77 You are 100% correct, I don't know what I was thinking. LOL I have 2 shovels in my trunk but for some reason I didn't think to take them. Doh!!!

  • cool video! as long as your having fun! thats all that matters! stay cool!

  • @rollinstoned0 Thanks for watchin buddy, and yes its all about having fun!!! lol

  • lol 554 to 558 looks like he thows down a coin then says oh there it is.

    LMAO!

  • @belene2 I assure you I found it, I was going to grab it but then I waited for the camera.

  • @TreasureFiend EXCUSES EXCUSES

  • what has more silver in them , the us dimes or the canadian?

  • great hunt congrats on the finds HH

  • yea man,,,just bring some water and soak them coins if you cant wait...trust me

  • Err, new youtube layout =/ .. LIKE!

  • lmao at the phone.

    Great findings 5 stars

  • what do you use to clean findings? im thinking about getting the bounty hunter quickdrawII. is that decent to start with? thanks

  • dimes pennies and quarters and others are made out of copper look on the side

  • are those coins worth alot? and whats the best cheapest metel detector that comes with the thing were you skim it across the dirt to see where it is that made the noies that you were holding in your hand?

  • wow what a find!

  • Well done always fun to view your vids!

  • Cool finds, but you guys are scratching the crap out of your finds by impatiently rubbing the dirt off. Can't you wait until you get back home to properly clean them?

  • Nope can't wait.

  • Well, ....that's your loss.

  • @TreasureFiend Ha Ha... too funy... so true

  • A lot of THers have some sort of must-rub-with-thumb OCD.

Its a better idea to drop them into a bottle of water, and shake off the encrusted dirt.

  • I carry a pill bottle half filled with olive oil and drop the coin in and give a quick shake. Works wonders without trashing the coin or button.

  • @dwt7 the coins r so rough in shape that moving a lil dirt off it is not gonna do major damage ...so it goes from ms20 to ms19? if that

  • Nice finds!

  • haha you guys are pros

  • can anyone reccomend a good cheap metal detector?

    (under $50)

  • @recurveninja Sorry, but anything in that price range is nothing more than a toy. A couple hundred buchs will get you into a starter model.

  • damn, thanks :/

  • "cheap" metal detectors are under $200, I know Garette has a good one called a 150, or 250

  • dont listen to them, actually, i own one called the bounty hunter bhjs you can buy it at amazon, it says its junior but really its not its awesome!!!!! the one they are using has a gps and such but really you dont need that much on a metal detector and plus it takes hundreds of years for the coin to sink into the ground an inch an the bounty hunter has a ratio of 5 inches for small coins and three feet for large things

  • yeah, i have a bounty hunter too, but it often seems to mis-detect things :/

  • bounty hunter jr..

    go research on google..

  • were do u get those shuvles at and how much please respond.

  • do u sell?

  • Carry a small spray bottle of water to quickly blast dirt off if coins. Fun video... thanks for posting!

  • Remembered you told me last sunday about finding a (Golden coin that scared you...When hunting with Twistted)....I had to check it out...Took me a while to find it LOL.......You've filmed a nice collection...L.O.L....I will check out some woods to hunt this weekend...Talk to GOIO,and get back with you on a location.....If you are interested...We'll try a local that is about the (about) the same distance for us both to drive...Some where new (For us all....Talk Later Bud

  • Hey surfdigger. Greetings from Australia. I notice one of your friends have the exact same digger as I do here in Oz! That blue handled garden digger with the funny looking tip. I actually modified mine by grinding a point at the end of that thing so that it looked more like a blunt knife. Works well. Thanks for your vids - very inspiring

  • Dang,

why don't you guys just carry a wire brush along to clean your finds.

  • dont use a wire brush!!!!!!!!!! it scrashes it

  • goskinsgo, thanks, we didn't think of that. We'll have to try that out next time! :)

  • dont rub it!!!

  • what do mean? I always rub the dirt of does that damage them. Please respond. Thanks

  • it leaves tiny scratches on the coin. which serious coin collectors look for. hope that helped!

  • What tool is hee using to take out the dirt plug?

  • very nice Guys!!! and Lady!

  • Great finds, yep there is still all kinds of tokens out there. Goo hunting !

  • TreasureFriend, what's the best thing you have ever found?

  • I grew up in Chicago on the west side - you might hit the park at the bottom of the hill at Hale Park off 63rd and see what you find - every winter in the 60's we lost tons of change in our pockets at the bottom wiping out with sleds. Of course you might have a problem with the park people if you dig.

  • What brand and model detector is that with the wand to get to close detection? I live in a rural area full of Civil War sites and something like that would help with those things that are small instead of making the holes the size of the coil. I also need to locate an abandoned well tube (drilled and sleeved with steel) from the 50's in my yard that was capped and fill dirt put over the top and try to reuse it for utility water and keep from paying so much for water just to flush. Good vid.

  • congrats on your finds guys,nice hunting...nice merc...PAT

  • I got a digging tool like your blue handle one from lowes they are sharp rugged and durable lifetime warranty and best yet under $15 a copy and you can get it today. Made of stainless steel one side is sharp as a knife the other serrated and cuts grass perfectly I have pryed plugs up with the entire blade in the ground.

  • Great hunt..Congrats

  • OMG, you guys were crapping your pants for a second there! Wish I could have been there for that! Great finds to all three of you. That phone is priceless... now stage a video where Silvergurl is pissed off at her boss, who is on the phone, and she chucks it into the river! If you tie a fishing line to it you won't even have to litter! I would die laughing watching that ... :)

  • what handheld pinpointer is that?

  • Had my heart racing there for a second. Nice video!

  • Nice Job treasurefiend!

  • You had me going with the gold coin, but its a cool find anyway, congrats on the silver and buffaloes, ..

  • Great video. Seems like you guys have better luck finding old coins in the woods. Are you in woods near a park or school? I think hunting along creeks in the woods would be good too. Back in the 1960's I remember playing a game with friends where we jumped from one bank to the other as the creek widened. The loser fell in. lol. Bet we lost some coins too.

  • Great finds again! Thanks for taking us along!
