I think there's also an eraser button you can use (bottom-right-middle part of screen), but that's a little extra effort you don't need.

For the record, this is the original Mario Paint for the SNES. You can't speed it up any faster than this. It's out of tune because there is no option to put flats or sharps. For Mario Paint COMPOSER, not everyone has an SNES or Mario Paint anymore. And not everyone wants to download an emulator. MPC is the closest thing to it after that.
