I dunno how much a veteran squad costs normally, but 150pts worth of upgrades for a 5 man squad is more than I would be willing to pay, especially for somthing that could just as easily be taken out by a 150pt+ genestealer squad quite easily.

I know that a 5 man normal SM squad with a seargent is 100pts, so even if vets were the same price, each squad with the rhino would be 285pts. Pretty rich for a 5 man squad in a rhino.

for me half of the enjoyment is assembling and painting them myself

then when you see your models on the battlefield knowing you did them yourself gives you a sense of pride :D

it's only about 35pts. But even if you do lose one, how much damage do you think 9 more can do

there were only 5 in the in the clip and thats what I was talking about. Now if you really think its a great idea to tie up that many points in 1 unit then fine but when you lose all those veterans to a battle cannon shot you definatily just lost around 350 points.

i hate to correct you shawn but if you shoot twice w/ pistol, you cant charge, unless you meant 10 as in both squads, then yes you can.

I think I have to correct you on this: You can never shoot more than 1 shot with pistols with the new rules.

Page 29, Pistol Weapons: "All pistols are effectively Assault 1 weapons". But as with the old rules, they still counts as close combat weapons.

Also, in my last comment I forgot to say how good I think those Ultramarines look. Really splendid work on those!

Necrons are a great army, but not very exciting to paint. I think that's why they don't get much spotlight on this particular channel.
