the mh series too repetitive. you run out grab some flowers and ore while running from a giant monster who wants to eat your pants. weapon upgrades are also a pain cuz you'll always have that one item that'll you never get till you play until your eyes pop out. the quests which you run out waving a sword thats as big a small car and only hitting at least 60% of the time. and sometimes the monsters big toe grows an extra inch kikn u & does the same amount damage as it does when it sits on you

@tsukiyomi725 You prob have never played God Eater, but I Have and Monster Hunter Portable 3rd and they are very different...there not alike in many ways besides oh maybe the creating weapons system is all. The use of items you press select and Square to use it, the stamina system...yeah thats just about it, its not an entirely different but it IS REALLY DIFFERENT

mh is a pretty sick game people should stop bitching i hated the game the 1st month stopped playing it . decided to play it learn some good basics. Once you get into it then go online its amazing. The franchise is really great.

@pureefficient same here, my first mh game was MHF2 , got to Khezu, he beat me i quit. A year later i got MHFU and kicked its ass and its pretty good. God Eater looks good, too, ill try it!

I got GE and the controls are easier compared to MH after awhile i got used to it though but still can't get the hang of using that stupid canon but still its about as hard as MH. Taking down a boss Aragami like that lion isn't easy

I'm playing the game and oh boy the lock on is only good when youre fighting one boss monster but when youre fighting many, its a such a pain to use lock on...

This game is hard doing missions alone or without AIs, you need 4 players just to beat most missions....

MH has better quality of gameplay, this game might be fast-paced but MH puts lots of strategy wise than button mashing ...

This game is still awesome as it is! :)

2 things that play a major role in MH and that made MH the best PSP game i have

but here it looks like you can just go ''SLICE SLICE SLICE''

and since the game has no story the game practically never ends

more than 200 hours of gameplay with the solo quests only

This made and the large amount of weapons monsters armor and items

made MH somewhat unique

sadly ppl prefer to go ''SLICE SLICE SLICE''

because they failed with that tactic at their first kutku quest

Anyway, I totally agree with what your opinion. MH is indeed a unique game. Shitload of everything, from equipment to Items and enemies. Plus, there's no 'perfect' way to beat an enemy. I have never met such a game, even some PC RPGs can kiss MH's ass and say 'goodbye'. I hope that CAPCOM won't delay MHF3;) It's gonna have Infrastructure netplay, thus it's necessary to have it.

It's easier to control, but the camera system is just as bad (good?) as MH's camera. The game's lock-on doesn't really help you play, it simply focuses the camera. Using "the claw" control handle still has it's benfits while playing GE, since there are a lot of moments where using lock-on will screw you up, badly.

Even if theres Auto target it´s pretty useless you start using manual lock on after a time.

The way you play it is going to be completely different to Monster Hunter.

So while it's obviously aimed at people who bitched about Monster Hunter's camera and realistic weapon mechanics, it's worthy of being played alongside Monster Hunter as a different game.

I agree. GE is not MH. GE is the game you play while you wait for your friends to finish up a long quest in MH.

Regardless, people shouldn't see GE as trying to "compete" with MH, rather it should be seen as an alternative.

First off, both games have a story.

It's just in Monster Hunter, the story is basic "You are a hunter, this gigantic beast nearly killed you, you are the town hunter, now off you go"

God Eater apparently has more of a plot-progression.

Second off, both games are great in Single Player (Monster Hunter Freedom UNITE has about 200 hours worth of single player-only quests, Tri however is better to play online) and both are great in Multiplayer.
