Japanese NTSC version runs at a steady 60FPS compared to the PAL release that suffers slightly frome frame rate issues.This was a first wave release for the DC and am sure given more time in development would have been perfect compared to that of it's Arcade counterpart.

Yes but there was more room for performance. Arcade Machine in comparison to a Console with the same hardware even if it is older, Still leaves room for dropped performance. As to a Desktop and Laptop with the same specs. The Desktop will have better performance, even if it was older.

@timma797 The problem is that they didn't port this over from the arcade-"Sega Rally 2" which would have run perfectly (NAOMI had the exact same hardware specs as the Dreamcast, with the exception of having more RAM) but they used Windows CE for the Dreamcast version which caused the bad performance even with reduced details.

I heard that from somewhere yea. But I also heard that if you connect the dreamcast through VGA, it allows the game to run more smoother? Is this true?
