The only good thing about Beats are their in-ear headphones. Better than their on-ear. Still, Beats Pro are the greatest but the price is sucky. It makes you find more cheaper and more better headphones.
@warcraftjohnny Ultrasone pro 900. exceptional bass while retaining all details with clarity throughout the spectrum. This does have recessed mids, but depending on ur choice of genre this could possibly be the best. For electronic music and dub step or even modern urban stuff, this is pretty good. This has the cleanest deepest bass out there as its closed but yet offers one of the best sound stages out there for closed headphones. The denon 5/7 000 are better in mids but not in bass.
beats are utterly useless for djing... you cannot manipulate the shape as you can the ultrasones or any other normal dj headphone design, and they are waaaay too bass heavy and have no midrange at all....
I've got seinheisser 280hd pro's i think they are amazing and they only cost 50 bucks, i recommend them to anyone who wants great quality headphones.... I'm wearing them right now :D
Actually, none of those are better. Or worse. It's all about your taste. You've listed headphones that are very different (and the HD800 doesn't even do what the Pro 900 does at all.)
So i just think you checked up expensive headphones but have no clue at all what you're talking about.
Headphones is like food. It's all personal preference what tastes best.
But the quality of the ingredients can be determined.
Ultrasone Edition 9 are literally the best headphones in the world. I don't care what anyone says. They are the best. 1,500 dollars of pure sound perfection combined with radiation safety and safer hearing.

Hd800, LCD-2, or any STAX headphone are better. Not saying Ultrasone is bad though, they're a really great audio industry. just not the actual "best"
