im trying to change the oil pan on my truck but i dont have enough clearence on the bottom because im hitting the frame. i was told to take out the motor mount screws and jack or lift up the motor a bit to get the space i need..but where are the motor mount screws? thanks
i had a bit of cutting on the firewall to do on my sonoma. i dropped a 383 stroker in it and had fun trying to put a turbo 350 trany in it. i did a full EFI-Carb swap and it runs a lot faster but gas mileage sucks major ass, but its what i prefer. im thinking bout turning that 383 to EFI and making it a vortech
lol i have a 84 sonoma and a 84 s-10 with the v6 2.8 ...going to put the 4.3 in my sonoma ...one comment on the vid the 4.3 is a v6 not a v8 ..lol simple mistake ...if u have no clue wat your doing
I am about to do the Exact same thing to my Sonoma! but I have the 2.2 Straight 4... and it has a Cracked Head/Blown Head Gasket to boot! So its slow as hell, and gets HORRIBLE mileage to the gallon...
@mbs1977 what do you have to do electrical wise when you swap? do you just put in the new engine and plug it in with stock stuff? i got the 4.3 97 s10

it is the original 4.3 brackets, they all will fit on the 5.7 350 engine.

@mbs1977 the 4.3 is actuallty based off of the 350 small block so the alt brackets should be strong enough
