@watergaia Actually, the biblical book of Romans has a lot of negative things to say about lesbians. Still, one of the main reasons why lesbians don't get STDs as often isn't because God supposedly "approves" of them, it's because they don't have sex with a penis. Any kind of sex that involves penises is more likely to spread STDs, including heterosexual sex. If that's the case, then God isn't very fond of straight people either.

Disease and poverty was rampant during the Dark Ages when the Church dominated everything. Plus, many medical and scientific discoveries have been made by atheists or by unsavory means. The list of sins you are refer to is a construct of a 4th century monk called Evagrius Ponticus and it does indeed contain gluttony. So either God came to Evagrius in a revelation to inform him something had been missed in the bible or he just made it up.

However, no one needs to fuck their house pet for the sake of survival and to do so would be an exploitation of the animal's dependence on its owner. Still, one of the main reasons why lesbians don't get STDs as often isn't because God supposedly "approves" of them, it's because they don't have sex with a penis. Any kind of sex that involves penises is more likely to spread STDs, including heterosexual sex. If that's the case, then God isn't very fond of straight people either.

Disease and poverty was rampant during the Dark Ages when the Church dominated everything. Plus, many medical and scientific discoveries have been made by atheists or by unsavory means. I don't know how involved God is in everyday life, if at all, but it just seems too simplistic to say that everything bad is punishment and everything good is reward.

The list of sins you are refer to is a construct of a 4th century monk called Evagrius Ponticus and it does indeed contain gluttony. So either God came to Evagrius in a revelation to inform him something had been missed in the bible or he just made it up.

I say that the acceptence of trans and gay, means the end of our civilization. But that is because, it is the birth of a new one. The new 'mankind', (people kind), will have a greater acceptance, that our mental selves are so much more important, or powerwful, than our physical selves. Trans people are a prime example ot this principle.

i don't see how raising the issue so much (in this manner) would help. gays and trans are accepted in other societies, so it is humanly possible. i think the audience that needs to be persuaded needs to be analyzed carefully, not condemned. it just may be an easily solvable puzzle if you take your time and relax,, these "bigots" : how do they think,, what are thier imaginations like,, and etcetera? it only makes a bigger divide and a more difficult problem to merely "take sides".

This video is one of the rare few in which I agree with you. Though at the same time I do not support gay marriage (I think it is simply overly and needlessly antagonistic, I recon just having a "civil union" (for both hetero and homo sexual couples) for non-religious people that holds equal rights and status (except for any benifits aimed at enducing people to either breed or avoid breeding). That way everyone is treated equaly treated and no one is offended.

@90Quilty AHH but here is the point. It says in the Bible that homosexuals are to be put to death and, "surely their blood will be upon them." In order to be a christian you have to believe that bible is the exact word of God. Otherwise its just a bunch of fairy tales. So if someone is a true christian by the book, they are then homophobic. The law commands you, no way around it.
