  • the find fish is a butterfly flag tail prochilodus

  • overcrowded tanks to small. decorations consume to much space for the size of fish u have.

  • What's that tall-finned fish at the back at 0:25? Looks amazing.

  • Its a fish tank like no other, because you are the only one stupid enough to mix fish like that from all different places, and sizes into one tank, that is that small. You are a terrible fish keeper.

  • dumby

  • are you making this drama and bullshit just to get more views and evennutally advertising for ur videos

  • Snotbog1, you don't know a lot about habitats, now do you?

I feel sorry for the fish..

  • what kind of fish is the big one with the colorful stripes on his tail he's beautiful love your tank !

  • I don't like huge fish, i always fill my tanks with small sized fish.

  • I hate misleading titles

  • This fish look healthy and beautiful wtf is up with all the thumbs down. Those thumbing down are fucking clueless.

  • Why like no other ?

  • This is not cool. NOT COOL at all. big time Cruelty

  • ?????DO YOU USE TAP OR HOLY WATER?????

  • Like no other cause no one else wants one like that.

  • Your fush look sad :(

  • Watch those tetras disappear.

  • @RainbowfishAddict

I hope you're patient. I still have the tiny neons living with these giants (almost 4 years now)

  • @snotbog1 Really? Nice! :) I would have thought the cichlid would have at least had a go, but I take your word for it! :)

  • @RainbowfishAddict Do you not read descriptions? You're gonna open the wrong pill bottle one day.

  • @steveman416 What?

  • @steveman416 Did you not read my reply to his comment? Don't get involved. I think it's awesome they don't eat each other.

  • Your water looks really clean..how often do you do a water change and what percent?

  • moron...

  • would a 200 gallon aquarium be enough room for 250 inches of peaceful fish?

    (I'm asking before I make a mistake.)

  • @animewolf75

    With proper water changes, yes.

  • @animewolf75 use the "one inch per gallon rule" so no i would go with 200 inch. 250 might be ok but if u want happy fish with the proper space go with 200 inches

  • Snotbog1 It seems like you ignore the "rules"

Remember, people do not tell you about said rules, just because they can not afford that amount of fish themselves.

according to all your other posts:

    death = failure

    life = success

Well, would you like to live in a room with 20 people 24/7?

Oh and a good idea would be to focus more on the plants less on the fish. Create that perfect habitat for a few fish, instead of a useless habitat for a billion.

  • @3nj1n

i've collected all my stones myself, not purchased any plastic crap.

  • @3nj1n

Well you get the all natural stone award. Congratulations

  • To snotbog1 Im sorry that your video's highest rated comments are from a person who admits they know nothing about fish and big tanks and someone who thinks the inch per fish rule is true.

  • @2studmuffin

Thank you for that. Actually, I think the inch/fish rule is a good standard for fish and when I bought these fish, I was fairly close. The problem for me was the unexpected survival rate as the fish got bigger. I expected at least some of my large tropicals to die but so far, none have. Hence, a crowded tank.

  • @snotbog1 Your fish look great. I understand with cichlids, overcrowding brings an element of peace to the community. And I suppose after raising these guys as you have, thinning the crowd would be a difficult thing. Thanks for posting your video.

  • That flag tail is bad

  • @TheVINEONE

    cool fish for sure, thanks

  • pretty cool man

  • @JON13JC

    thanks

  • Nice setup! I like it.

  • @EGExotics

    thanks, we like 'em too

  • how did you get small fish and the cichlids to get along?

  • @BullockDesignConcept

    they grew up together

  • wow thats awesome!!!...so show us something REALLY actually cool now

  • @13Drumism

Nothing compares to your videos, man. Oh wait a minute, you don't have any. I guess being cool is just bagging on others while doing nothing of your own. You should be proud.

  • @snotbog1

Hey, hey...allright thats true, if your fish intrest YOU i dont have a proplem with that, im just sayin I dont find them as interesting as you do thats all im sayin and i guess i just shouldnt say anthing...i just joined anyway and i havent had any chance to make any videos...sorry man...i apologize

  • @13Drumism

    Hey apology accepted.

  • You sir, have 55 fish and the lengths of their current state add up to 230 inches, possibly MUCH more if you go by adult size.

Putting 230 inches of fish in an 85 gallon aquarium is like a fish concentration camp, which would make you "FISH HITLER!"

  • @YoDaJedEye

You actually added up all the math. I envy your free time

  • @snotbog1 ur the one who wrote all there names and the "scientific" name and put there length so u have some time tooo

  • @skaterg807

    touche

  • @YoDaJedEye The whole inch of fish per gallon is used to explain a general idea to novice fish keepers. The reason why novice folks are told that rule is because they have no idea how to take care of fish. Frequent water changes is something a novice isnt going to do and when they get a tank full of dead fish they need to blame someone. You can overstock fish as long as you do water changes, I for example do 70% water changes. Some fish actually need to be kept in larger groups.

  • @2studmuffin 70 %-that’s absurd, you could go anywhere and they would tell you to try and keep water changes between 10-20 % of the tanks volume. You can’t just change the water and overstock fish. They need the biological system in the tank to survive and they need space to swim and open up a bit. Doing large water changes hurts the biological system. The inch per gallon "idea" is used because it's true. You can overstock, but not to this degree. Concentration camp of fish like I said before.

  • @YoDaJedEye

The "concentration camps" were not evil because they were "crowded". They were evil because of cruel acts that were done to PEOPLE, not fish; people with souls; people with feelings; people with inalienable rights. Your comparison to my tank here shows your puerile lack of understanding of the difference between people and fish.

If you'd like to see how my "Nazi" tank conditions have just wiped out my tank with death and disease, check out my latest update: watch?v=4BPvBvflswk

  • @YoDaJedEye Any place? You mean petco, petsmart, expertvillage!? LOL . Like a said the inch per gallon is for 'novice' fish keepers because the stores dont want to deal with an angry costumer complaining about their dead fish. 10-20% is nothing, imagine pooping in your cereal and taking out 10-20% would you still drink the milk? Your fish dont either. Who said anything about no bio filters? Take a look at my tank and you will see 2 penguin 300's. Also my fish spawn after a large water change.

  • I'll be surprised if the Hillstream Loaches are doin k still, they need river rocks with powerheads flowing over them so they can eat. Plus they need a "Stream" affect.

  • im gonna stop looking at tanks on here now its really pissing me off. Do you retards no nothing about stocking levels? it would be a nice tank if you had 1/4 of the fish but even then it would still be to small for the bigger ones :(

  • what is the yellows fish you got there?

  • did you buy the minnow that big and do they eat the ghost shrimp cause my tinfoil barb ate all of em.

  • @mariogamecrazy

I bought the minnow as a starter fish and he stayed alive as well as the ghost shrimp.

  • i know nothing about these fish and big tanks but is it me or does it look like theres too many fish in there

  • @tonyctampa Its not Too many per say but he should be careful of how many more he buys.

  • @xGHOSTXRECONx

I haven't purchased a single fish since I set this tank up in 2007

  • @snotbog1 i think what he was trying to say is that the major rule for aquariums and space for fish is usually 1 inch of fish per gallon... there will be a time when the limit has been reached or overreached because fish keep growing to their max....

and the less space in your tank for each fish means a possibility for more aggressive behavior between your tankmates if the tank isn't upgraded to a larger volume

  • @turtle08s

See my latest video of this tank. Fish are doing great. I have no plans on buying more fish. I haven't purchased any in almost 3 years.

  • @snotbog1 i see they are and i know that you haven't bought anymore, if they aren't having problems that's fine, i'm just applying some insight to what that guy said earlier. =) it's a pretty tank... jw how big is it? your fish are beautiful and healthy good job which is the one with the striped tail?

  • @turtle08s

    it's 85 gallons

    sriped tail is a flagtail

  • Random question, is the Cichlid shown in the beginning a Eartheater.

  • @1992pattrow

    yes

  • still gay

  • how does the goldfish live with the tropical fish?....dont the tropical fish nip at its fins?.anyways i love the tank its beautiful!

  • @LilGian1

I took the goldfish out last year.

  • cool but ugly fish

  • I had 2 tiger oscars , 1 red devil 2 , jack demsys 1 , black convict 1 , green terror and a 7 inch Bala shark , 2 algea eaters and 1 catfish

  • i had 6 sharks and they kept dissapearing...turns out my cone snail was eating them. the cleaner snails from wal-mart

  • i have six silver dollars and six small bala sharks and 7 clown loach in a 130 gallon tank which is 6ft long they are all healthy and kept well filtered by my fx4 fluval water changes once per month

  • Would 2 Silver Dollars be happy in a 10 gal freshwater? Just them? I've read that they are semi-aggressive. Any advice would be appreciated.

  • no mate

  • @dontbeapunk1 no they shouldnt fihgt infast if they are small those silverdollars can live in there a long time but yes it would b okay :)

  • I wouldn't recommend it. Perhaps for a few months but keep in mind that mine grew from an inch and a half to 6 inches within 8 months. (they are now pushing 8 inches). They guys really should have at least a 40 gallon tank and at least 4 or 5 together. Otherwise they get nervous.

  • No they get to six inches, 30 gallons is a minimum

  • Generally they grow to 6. Mine are almost 8 inches. Thirty is a bit small for this fish. They're very shy and nervous. They should be in large groups of 4 or more.

  • This guy has silver dollars in this tank look at them do you think 2 would be happy in 10 gallons? are you kidding? they get massive

  • Actually more that I have a fear of deep sea. I can't swim, so that may be a cause.

  • Time to visit the YMCA!!!!!

  • I'd own a fish or turtle by now, but for some reason, underwater themes and colours frighten me a bit.

  • @Simpig25

Maybe you have a repressed Sea World memory or something.

  • A well balanced and well maintained tank, good job! Now out of shame I must go clean mine.

  • thanks

  • Please don't take this to wrong way...but your fish look bored! They are beautiful fish and healthy--not "boring", ...what did you do get them so mellow? We're setting up a 125g tank and want a nice, peaceful and non-violent setup too. Good Job!

  • They all grew up together which helps. Also, they tend to be more active late at night and in the mornings and obviously while feeding as well.

  • einzigal.... there fish what r they supposed to do ? go drive a car to a festival ? all fish do are swim around or stay in one place.... sorry if that sounded offensive but its the truth

  • Hey, shasha8227, no offense taken! You're right, I guess I am more entertained by the fish that are more active, "drive a car to a festival!! LOL!"

  • what makes it diffrent from any other tank? i like the tank, i kinda dont like the fish with lots of scales

  • the combo of fish mainly

pretty unique I think. Have you seen one like it? (curious)

  • Wow this makes my 10 gallon look small even though it is. How many gallons is it?

  • 85 gallons

  • wow it looks way bigger then that lol

  • Don't worry, the "aquarium bug" will cause you to get a larger one! : ) Few are immune.

  • Got the bug, need the space!!!!!

  • I KNEW IT! Me too, we started out with a Hex-5 to be used as a hospital tank for sick Koi, from there it went to 10g, 30g and most recently 125 GALLON MONSTER : o ! Someone should hold support group meetings for aquarist rehab!

  • Black and white fish in middle of screen at 0:26?

  • banded hifin shark

  • Very nice tank.

  • thanks

  • nice fish!!!!

  • thanks

  • You have some very beutiful fish. I see you have some nice size silver dollars to. Before I sold my 75 gallon tank and all my fish. I had a red hook silver dollar for 8 years he got to about 12 inches or so. I had some others that were not to far behind him. I'm just saying if yours get any bigger you may have to go to a bigger tank or just get a second tank. A lot of work but fun though rite.

  • 12 inches, that's a big redhook.

Yeah, I wish I could upgrade........

  • well done great mix of fish

  • thanks

  • you have a brillian ttank set up m8. well done

  • thanks, appreciate it.

  • this tank is beautiful

i love the fish with the orange stripped tailfin..

  • how much did the tank cost you? Because i have a 29 gal with a pacu and oscar.......(I know it's not big enough) and i'm trying to purchase a 55 gal. for a cheap price. btw nice tank

  • Buying a 55 gallon for a Pacu is a waste of money. He will outgrow it in 6 months. Buy a wide 75-100 gallon tank. You will need to upgrade to a tank twice that size in another year or so and even then, the Pacu will be cramped. Tanks are fairly cheap. Stands, filters are spendy. I paid $800.00 for my stand.

  • oh , alright. Although. I think that I can get a stand for a cheap rice. I'll just check the web.

  • Learn a lesson from me, if you buy a custom built tank, you'll need a custom built stand. (ouch)

  • awesome tank!!

  • thanks

  • Very nice tank, very healthy fish, brilliant!!!!

  • thanks

  • what kind of silver dollers im getting a red hook

  • You're probably referring to the Black-barred Myleus (Myleus Schomburgki)

Really cool fish. They act differently than regular silver dollars.

  • Great Tank. What Size Is it?

  • 85 gal
