  • The DD40-x's were awesome. They were seen on East bound fast freights out of Los Angeles to Arizona.

  • Sweet!

  • The DD40AX is Still Going Today!

  • Where was this at?

  • Hey how come it has a huge hole in the body of the train?

  • thats where some of the electronical equipment is located (Thats my best guess from what i pieced together using the internet)

  • @GranTurismo360 From what I remember reading, they had to run with the side doors open to help prevent the engines from overheating.

  • @GranTurismo360 Since the locomotive is so long, it is a "passage" way to get from one side to the other.

  • Truely a massive locomotive.

  • @Gungniir 98 feet long, 6600 horsepower, 521,980 ponds, yeah, kinda a big engine. largest and most powerful to the day

  • @jfsa380 NOT the most powerful, but it was at it's prototype era.

  • AWESOME CATCH!!
