@tubolic born in Paris she came here in the 90's & at a party she met 2 guys with different band...they invited her to sing in a couple of demos they wanted to make...she said sorry I don't sing like you play...fast foward couple of yeas & she & one of the guys were a couple & had written a couple of songs & invited the other guy to play in then as demos...they came out great & were talked into cutting more...ergo Ivy was born...she sings in French on CD sold there

@tubolic Yes she is..her name is Dominique Durand & she was born in Paris & moved to New York where she met the two guys that make up the group Ivy...the other 2 are Andy Chase and Adam Schlesinger....not 100% sure on this part but she & Andy might be a two-some. Adam is in 2 other bands "Fountains of Wayne" and "Tinted Windows". As She sings in both English & French they are very popular in Europe where I first heard to a song by them & have enjoyed them since. I give then 10/10

They are from France. Oddly enough it was the Smashing Pumpkins who help these guys get some fame. I forgot his name, but the Asian man in the Smashing Pumpkins sings back up frequently for Ivy. Who knew he had a great voice?

The NY indie pop trio, with CELESTIAL Parisienne Dominique Durand in vox, gives us here the GORGEOUS second song of their second HIGHLY ACCLAIMED album "Apartment Life" (1997), "named one of the years best".

Listen also to their amazing "Long Distance" (2001) and "In The Clear" (2005) albums... Highly recommended!
