Because I'm going tommorow and Kerry Ellis, Whoopi Goldberg, Ashley Brown, Pattie LuPone and a lot of other people who I really want to meet are going to be there. Thanks.
I didn't meet any of the performers but we were sitting close to the area where all of the performers stand before they go on stage. They always seem to take pictures with fans in that area.
Oh, thats good to know. What time did you get there? Also, where exactly do the performers stand, like to the left (or right) of where the camera is or in front of where the camera is?
i think it depends on what show are there. If there are really popular shows it might get crowded quick but i've always managed to grab a chair and find a decent spot on the lawn at 11:30.
Oh, well it's Wicked (very popular), Spring Awakening (also very Popular), Gypsy( Patti LuPone), Xanadu (Whoopi Goldberg), and Mary Poppins (best Disney show). So, I have a feeling it's going to be packed, lol.
We are going to take an earlier train and try to get there a little after 11:00. So should we try the front towards the left?
I'm going tomorrow. It seems like its going to be a lot of popular shows so getting there early is probably a good idea. It doesn't really matter where you sit as long as you have a good view of the stage and if you are going with another person it will be better because you can get up and go to see the performers while the other person is watching your stuff. I usually go alone so if i get up someone will take my seat :)
Now if we just wanted to stand the whole time would people make a deal out of me and my sister (who I'm going with) walking along the barrier to meet performers?
i don't think people would make a big deal. A lot of people stand on the sides of the park to watch and i always see people hanging around the barriers talking with the performers. also if you can get there at 11 you will see the mic checks which is pretty much the performers singing the exact songs they will be singing at 12:30. its like seeing the performances twice :)
carrie kicks ass. should've been in the movie.
