A shiner is the best live bait for fresh water fishin. He was after that shiner and if you would of had a shiner on a hook and just tossed it out away from that fish and brought it back in slowly, you would of got sucker, ive caught many bass usein shiners, and big shiners work to just like in this video, shiners is the way to go.

Pike are nasty fish to catch. I once was reeling in a little fish and a pike grabbed it and ended up with the hook in its own mouth. I landed it and opened its mouth carefully with a cloth and the poor fish had about 10 hooks in its mouth from where people had just been cutting their lines. I took all the hooks out for it and let it go. Bloody hate pike but didnt want to put that guy back with 11 hooks in his mouth

These fish are so weird, I once saw one swimming in a stream that was maybe 2 feet in diameter and 1 foot deep. The fish was so powerful that as it swam through the stream, it created large waves in the stream.

This pike knows they feed him, the water is so clear that he must have noticed them, and is ok with it all, as lon as he get the fish in the end. It wouldnt suprise me if the fish will be there again next year. and Im glad these sport fishers can also respect these fish without it being at the end of their lines, I would pay for an opertunity like this. I envy them, and i have alot of respect for them!
