  • you are amazing, that is all

  • Don't explain that this is very hard, try to stay modest (a musician must be always modest)

  • How close are the strings from the higher frets? thanks. Nice playing too

  • not bad man!

I used to have an RX20 , suprized me when realized they were made of plywood

  • Plywood is still wood. Some people get pretty snobby about it but I never understood why....

  • @hastyberford Yea I totally agree man! They sound pretty damn good through a Marshall - thats what counts right??

  • 1:19-nél aza figcsi marhaszép..ott mit játszol?...bontást?...

  • nagyon baróóóóti... a szand is jóóóság.. :)

  • I'm getting one tomorrow!

I've had an EX, and an RG270,

I'm not even trying it out, my stepdad is going to pick it up for me. $100.00

I've got enough faith in Ibanez, if it has any problems, I don't mind working with it.

Do you know what year these were made?

And were the stock pickups good?

  • i'm thinking about getting that guitar, is it good? it sounds great on this video

  • i love it, that's my main guitar, but i changed the pickups it is a Duncan JB what you hear in this video. I think try one if you have the chance to be sure, because if it is good for me it doesn't mean it is good for you too

  • nice work mate. you've got great feel. do i detect a love of bebop there or did you get those lines from your timmons influence?

  • thanks very much! yes i got that bebop thing from Andy, he definatly has some bebop kind of licks and some bebop influence from Wes Montgomery and those old guys. But i think that the key is the rhythm how you play it, for example, Richie Kotzen who i like very much nowdays also has a great swing kind of feel in his playing, i like that thing a lot

  • What setting is the Satchurator on?

  • gain at 3 o clock

    tone 10 o clock

    volume at 1 o clock

  • man, i really dig your phrasing. it's very tight! great chops all around. and i do agree, i bought the backing tracks and they are quite hard to improvise with. you did a pretty good job with keeping the melody up, though.

  • thanks bro!

I learned a lot playing over this backing...and also from watching the pros doing it :)

  • hey man nice playing...i see you got there an ibanez rx-20 rigth? i got one too...in fact its my favorite guitar...i got a fender stratocaster too but somehow i prefer the sound of my ibanez...

  • exactly, it is my favorite too. I have done some mods on it since, i removed the lacquer of the neck and sanded the sides of it too pretty hard to make it narrower now it is a dream to play, has a tighter string spacing but just the the right distance. I got the whole neck waxed so there is no finish on it i can really feel the wood under my hands it feels great, much more natural i love that guitar. I also put a Dimarzio Cruiser bridge in the neck position too so it is near perfect forme now:)

  • WOW!

Seriously man, you are an incredibly amazing guitarist AND one hell on an improvisor!!

Its been so long since ive been inspired...i couldnt stop smiling when i watched this. Your playing has so much feeling and makes me wanna improve

    haha.

I also watched your Richie Kotzen video and that was amazing as well!

Thanks for uploading and keep it up man!

  • aah man, you are too kind :) but thanks for these nice words, i really really appreciate them.

I'm very happy that you got inspired by this video and you want to improve, it is not easy to get inspiration when you stuck with your playing.

I like to improvise over anything, it really improves your ears and soon you can discover things like if you work on it you can achieve that your ears will lead your fingers . It is a lot of work, but much more fun than doing the metronom and chromatic thing

  • Nice chops :) but you know, there are frets over the 12th fret ! x) keep posting !

  • hm...you are the second with that kind of comment, i have to consider that:)

honetsly i ahvent even thought about it while playing, i just played what felt right at the moment, and it came out this way, but it would be more interesting for sure if i had gone up higher ion the neck.

    thanks for the input!:)

  • I can listen a lot of andy timmons here! great impro...I have this backing track...I'll surely post an attempt playing over it....it's quite difficoult going along this track!

  • wow. you keep on getting better and better. honestly, your a beast

  • thanks Tyler, im trying. Now i dont have much time to practise after work, but i really appreciate that short little time, i can play and try to focus only for the guitar in that time. You have to sit down with a concrete aim, like today i will hear down that lick from whatever song and if you can complete what you have aimed than you are one step ahead. And really try to use your knowledge in a musical context as Andy points out, otherwise it is worthless

  • hey andy the improvisation is very good, very andysh, great sound, feeling,,, but i feel that you learned first the Marco SIgfogli's improvisation as a starting point, that's why everyone of the 8 takes sounds very Marco's

  • thanks Seb, i really really appreciate your words, (very Andyish, very Marcoish) and you are absolutely right, i watched Marcos vid countless times so i kind of heard it always in my head when i played.

By the way it is the Duncan JB in the bridge pos, thats why you can catch that really Andy-like character in the tone
