I've never been a pet person, but since I watch yours an Cory's vlogs I feel more and more like I want to have an animal friend one day. This vlog really broke my heart when you didn't take the kitty with you. I was really hoping you would take her with you. Maybe this is better for her, but being with you, she would have the best home I'm sure.
i remember a year ago when your vlogs werent as crazyyou and cory taught me alot when i have a bad day.....when my life feels like crap your videos and cory's videos really lightened my life. you guys really bring the best of me and now that im pretty chill after your latest vid...i would really want to say thankyou very much. i hope the best for you two and haha you probably wont see this but i just feel like i had to say it...this step for you guys is a big step for me. once again thankyou
I spent christmas where I grew up. learned a lot more about my 'rents over this would be vacation, somethings "never change". But it was nice to see how the neighborhoods have changed. Good to eat at one awesome subshop that I cant get anywhere else. Cant really get to my "happy growing up place" often on account of that I now live 5,000 miles away. I miss it, I really do sometimes, but then I look at the life I have built, instead of the life that I was handed, and say, damn, its worth it.

Wow, that kitty is so incredibly sweet. I've had my cat since it was just 6 weeks, and he was the cutest thing. Now he's almost 2 and dislikes being held or pet.
November 26 is actually my birthday, and seeing one of my favorite youtubers saving a poor kitty (my Fave animal) on my birthday was the best bday present ever -3 Kate you're amazing -3
I had a cat pick me when I was 7 or 8. I'm 15 now. And I went with my grandmother to the pound, and I saw him, and he was all over me and wouldn't let go. There were cuter ones, and more playful ones, but he held onto me when I tried pulling him back. He's still with me. His name is Buddy(call him Budward sometimes now, don't know how that happened), and he is still the same. Anytime he gets to see me, he wants me to pick him up and hold him and he just purrs non stop. He's so sweet :)

I cried ;( You could have let it sleep! It will miss you so much. God bless it and maybe you can come back soon when she's ready to take the long ride. It would be a dream come true to see the one that revived her from the lakeside and loved her and had to make the impossible descision to let her go. But if you truly love it, it will always come bacl. And maybe she's hoping one day you will.
I found an abandoned kitten in the desert a few months ago. I got so attached to him but couldn't keep him. I found him a very good home though eventually.
Before I was even born my brother found a stray cat and brought him into the house we had for about 19 years and he died then my aunt found a cat abandon and gave him to us :) he loves being pet
I was sitting on my porch one day, and I saw a little tiny kitty walking around. I went over to him and petted him, and he started meowing. I sat down, and he went right into my lap. We found out later he was a stray, and my mom said we could keep him. I named him dusty, because he was always getting dirt on him, and he was the color of dust. That was how my kitty chose me.
Awww, good job Kate. That's definitely not a random feral kitty...she had to have been dumped. Feral kitties aren't that nice and people-friendly. You made an awesome decision Kate and you're a wonderful person!! =]
We've gotten all of our animals from shelters and rescues (including the horses!) but my cat Houdini was one of those that picked me...I walked past the cages in the shelter and he reached out of his cage and slapped me...and that was that!
Awww i wish i could adopt her...so cute! But i live in MA.....and my parents and aunt are allergic, especially my aunt....and they wont let me have my own pet T^T i want a kitty

i took a kitten on a six hour road trip to give to someone...it decided to hide under my seat the hole way. took a couple breaks on the way tho. let it run around gas stations
my mom saved a cat.she adopted it from the animal hospital because me and my brothers were being realy good and also because our other cat was old (like 10 years old) we named him Thor. and our old cat didn't like him so he ran away to a different family. but we see him now and then
My dog chose me too, actually. She was all alone in the middle cage thing and the lady told me she was only young and her brother had been taken home yesterday. She said she had been howling all night and wouldn't eat. I went right up to the cage and stuck my hand through the bars. She hesitated, then came right up and started licking my hand. A worker opened the cage to let her out and she jumped into my arms. The lady said that she doesn't ever be this friendly with anyone. She chose me. :)
That's pretty much how we got our second cat. A mama feral dumped him off after I fed her and my boyfriend kept telling me "no, no, no". So I had him hold the kit while I cleaned a place for it for the night so we could figure out what to do and the next thing I heard was "Aw, he looks like a little squirrel". I claimed the You-named-it-now-you're-attached rule and we've had Squirrel for about 5 months now.
It is to bad I don't live near there I'd foster that cat in a second! Wish someone could and then maybe make a video for kate of her progress.Even just pictures poor cat is way to amazing!
rescue kitty's a dump not a feral, all the cats I've had have been rescues from verious places, some of thoughs were ferals I caught myself and rescue kitty is just to tame to be feral.
Guys, be understanding. 8 hours is a long ride for people, it's even harder for a cat no matter how awesome the cat is. It was probably a hard choice for Kate, too, so be nice.
As DediKaters we should take care of the kitty in her stead; maybe even adopt her and make vlogs so that Kate can see :)
I was loving this video right up to the part where you said you weren't keeping the cat. All that love she showed you, the hope she'd be with you and the fact that she grew restless when you locked her up in the crate, because she wasn't in contact with you, and then you decided not to keep her. Sorry, but I don't approve. You should have kept her and loved her as much as she loved you.
@TheTuxator I've had four cats, one of them travelled with me for over 5 hours, in the car, a trip of 500km. She slept through most of it, and when we arrived she was perfectly fine. She died of old age at 17.
@lilithmarleen hmm, okay. We had a cat until 3 years ago (he died at an age of 16) and he really hated car travels...and as far as I heared from other people that have a cat they made the same experiences. Some puked, and most of them, after they figured that they'll make a car travel when put into "the box", fought to not be put into them.
@TheTuxator It really depends on the cat. We saw the white cat in the video and she was perfectly relaxed in the car. Also, I've traveled with two of my other cats 2 times (on that same 500km trip), and they were fine. I rode in the backseat with them to make sure they didn't freak out. We had a carrier for them but I opened it and stuck my arm inside to pet them, and at times one of them wanted to climb on my lap and watch the cars go by through the window. They are just fine ;)
We had a ton of strays years back and they would always choose our house. We kept one for a while and named it Socks he would always try to follow me on to the bus we where going to give him to a shelter eventually but he ended up getting hit by a car :(. I had a kitten pick me from a friends cat's litter but I couldn't take her because I can't have a cat where I'm living.

My Cat, Salem, who i just recently lost to an accident chose me. I was at a flee market bout 6/7 years ago, and this lady had a box of kittens, i reached down to pet them and he jumped at my arm, climbed up it and sat on my shoulder rubbing against my face .... after that moment i knew he was mine ... i have so many stories about that cat its crazy ... i do miss him so much
Hey we found a stray (or in your case wild i guess) cat in our front yard. instantly look a liking to us (took food from our hands, asked to be pet, etc). couldn't keep it because it never came back yet

@reptiheart Agreed, if you can get advantage multi that's the best since it handles fleas and worms and ear mites as well- and ear mites are a bad problem shelter cats. However you need a vet to prescribe advantage multi cause of the dewormer in it. But you can get jsut advantage (which only handles fleas but can help with ear mites) over the counter at any vet.
I'm kind of in that area. I'm trying to get a ride over to that shelter. I must have that cat! I've already picked up a couple cats in the past 2 year. She'd be a lovely addition.
One time when I went to the shelter and played with the kitties. I sat down in this one spot and this cat immediately comes over and laid down on my lap. It felt like it was 30 minutes that I had been sitting there with the cat on my lap. And it refused to get off! When my mom tried to get it off, it hissed at her. That was when I believed that the cat chose me. Sadly, I could not keep it. I already have a cat at home and I love it oh so so much.
I wanted Kate to keep her, she seemed so sweet. I acually really love my cat, se was the kitten of a feral cat (we still have her she's really sweet and beautiful) and she adores me, and I adore her.

So sad that she was left alone like that anyway. Well done for being so nice to her and giving her a nice time. Kate, in 2005 I was chosen by my neighbor's kitten. He climbed through the fence and fought his way into my heart, and when we tried to return him, he came back and climbed up our screen door, demanding that we let him back in. He's been my cat ever since, and even after I left him behind for 9 months when I moved to Portland, he acted like it was just yesterday he saw me. Gotta love my CB.
Aww, I can't lie, I wanted you to keep her, because it was so perrrrfect. But it is a huge deal to decide to care for another living creature, and I admire you for chosing what felt right for you, it must have been truly hard! Lots of hugs for you Kate!
That cat was totally somebody's previously. She's way too fine with being inside the house for a feral (they usually would freak). I just don't want to think about how she got into that situation in the first place. So sad!
YAY - our current cat picked us ... just turned up outside our house one day and ran inside, stayed with us ever since. we called her 'puddings' cause I thought it would be hilarious my lady having to shout "PUDDING" out the back door... also me and my son come up with this irritating thing where any time she shouts pudding - we go "yes please" .. its already vastly irritating ! ;)

rescue kitty's a dump not a feral, all the cats I've had have been rescues from verious places, some of thoughs were ferals I caught myself and rescue kitty is just to tame to be feral.

Guys, be understanding. 8 hours is a long ride for people, it's even harder for a cat no matter how awesome the cat is. It was probably a hard choice for Kate, too, so be nice.
As DediKaters we should take care of the kitty in her stead; maybe even adopt her and make vlogs so that Kate can see :)

I was loving this video right up to the part where you said you weren't keeping the cat. All that love she showed you, the hope she'd be with you and the fact that she grew restless when you locked her up in the crate, because she wasn't in contact with you, and then you decided not to keep her. Sorry, but I don't approve. You should have kept her and loved her as much as she loved you.

@lilithmarleen if you EVER would have had a cat, you'd know that traveling with a cat in your car for over two hours is not a good idea.

@TheTuxator I've had four cats, one of them travelled with me for over 5 hours, in the car, a trip of 500km. She slept through most of it, and when we arrived she was perfectly fine. She died of old age at 17.

@lilithmarleen hmm, okay. We had a cat until 3 years ago (he died at an age of 16) and he really hated car travels...and as far as I heared from other people that have a cat they made the same experiences. Some puked, and most of them, after they figured that they'll make a car travel when put into "the box", fought to not be put into them.

@TheTuxator It really depends on the cat. We saw the white cat in the video and she was perfectly relaxed in the car. Also, I've traveled with two of my other cats 2 times (on that same 500km trip), and they were fine. I rode in the backseat with them to make sure they didn't freak out. We had a carrier for them but I opened it and stuck my arm inside to pet them, and at times one of them wanted to climb on my lap and watch the cars go by through the window. They are just fine ;)

We had a ton of strays years back and they would always choose our house. We kept one for a while and named it Socks he would always try to follow me on to the bus we where going to give him to a shelter eventually but he ended up getting hit by a car :(. I had a kitten pick me from a friends cat's litter but I couldn't take her because I can't have a cat where I'm living.

My Cat, Salem, who i just recently lost to an accident chose me. I was at a flee market bout 6/7 years ago, and this lady had a box of kittens, i reached down to pet them and he jumped at my arm, climbed up it and sat on my shoulder rubbing against my face .... after that moment i knew he was mine ... i have so many stories about that cat its crazy ... i do miss him so much

Hey we found a stray (or in your case wild i guess) cat in our front yard. instantly look a liking to us (took food from our hands, asked to be pet, etc). couldn't keep it because it never came back yet

house (they're cat had a litter of like, 6, and he chose me, to the point he would cry when I put him down unless I put him next to his mother) so I managed to talk my dad in to letting me keep him, something my mother was NOT happy about. My mom and I still have Nick and Butter, R.E (the cat my dad found, again, no idea about the name) went with him when he moved out (she and Butter hated eachother) and died a few years back. Quincey (My bed theif and childhood friend) is buried under his bush.

I've never owned an animal that didn't pick my family. My dog (who we had from before my birth until I was 12 I think) WOULD NOT be left at the shelter mum and dad went to, Then mum found a cat I barely knew in an alley and he followed her for BLOCKS until she was like "FINE" and called my dad and said she was leaving work early to bring a cat home. @reptiheart Agreed, if you can get advantage multi that's the best since it handles fleas and worms and ear mites as well- and ear mites are a bad problem shelter cats. However you need a vet to prescribe advantage multi cause of the dewormer in it. But you can get jsut advantage (which only handles fleas but can help with ear mites) over the counter at any vet.

One time when I went to the shelter and played with the kitties. I sat down in this one spot and this cat immediately comes over and laid down on my lap. It felt like it was 30 minutes that I had been sitting there with the cat on my lap. And it refused to get off! When my mom tried to get it off, it hissed at her. That was when I believed that the cat chose me. Sadly, I could not keep it. I already have a cat at home and I love it oh so so much.

So sad that she was left alone like that anyway. Well done for being so nice to her and giving her a nice time. Sad that you cannot keep her though, obviously, but understandable as the travel needed would be most unsettling for her.

Kate, in 2005 I was chosen by my neighbor's kitten. He climbed through the fence and fought his way into my heart, and when we tried to return him, he came back and climbed up our screen door, demanding that we let him back in. He's been my cat ever since, and even after I left him behind for 9 months when I moved to Portland, he acted like it was just yesterday he saw me. Gotta love my CB.

That cat was totally somebody's previously. She's way too fine with being inside the house for a feral (they usually would freak). I just don't want to think about how she got into that situation in the first place. So sad!

YAY - our current cat picked us ... just turned up outside our house one day and ran inside, stayed with us ever since. we called her 'puddings' cause I thought it would be hilarious my lady having to shout "PUDDING" out the back door... also me and my son come up with this irritating thing where any time she shouts pudding - we go "yes please" .. its already vastly irritating ! ;)
