  • Newcomdigi are pretty shonky. The 35W HID torch is supposed to be covered by a one year guarantee but they charge $20 to replace the globe/ballast unit which failed after a few weeks. Then they send a replacement battery in error. Then charge $30 for the battery before they send the globe. They are shameless crooks, but the torch itself is very good.

  • Hi i am thinking about getting one of these torches from newcomdigi just wondering how the quality is on it as it appears to be indentitical to other 35watt hid torches that appear to be the same but are much more expensive? Thanks!

  • hello thx for reply.......so the technology used for this torch is similar to the one used for car xenon kits.....right??? what about the quality of components ?? alluminium glass and switch?? thx in advance for reply!

  • Yes it's similar in technology !

As for quality well you pay for what you get, it depends on what sort of budget your looking at spending, Good quality components don't come cheap but are well worth paying in the long run if you intend on keeping it for a while, i would recommend doing a little research first which can ultimatley be the deciding factor between getting the best than paying too much for something which will give you nothing but dissappointment later !

  • Hello....nice video....just to understand...the electronic ballast is inside the battery pack.....or is a single part together with the bul??? is it possible to change the bulb in case of damage?? thx for your reply in advance!! regards

  • Hi there !

The battery is totally seperate from the ballast while the bulb is on its own but fits into the ballast.

Changing the bulb is no different from replacing any other filament type bulbs although exception must be given to this particular type as there is no filament but 2 electrodes at either end with the xenon gas inside the bulb instead, which provides the pure brightness of light when a determined current is generated from the ballast.
