I guess I gotta straighten things out. In this video he has an anniversary gretsch (I read he bashed it for not staying in tune, not sure about that though) and on the monkey wrench video he has a Gretsch White Falcon. And the Dave's signature Gibson (DG-335 I guess) isn't based on vegas-guitars, but the Trini Lopez-guitar (Dave has one on the Best of you video).

Pat is ten years older than Dave which makes him 49. He had been touring his whole life so he was tired. Either way he's been back touring with the band and has been for two years. Which kicks ass.

He left the band cause he was tired of touring, he was and is much older than everyone else in the band, and had been touring the past couple of years with Nirvana, and then also he was in the Germs.

I reckon he was just bored with that whole lifestyle and wanted to have his own family and things....

hes about 54 now, which makes him in his 40s in this video!
