I was thinking about rarotonga but everyone from NZ goes there so I'm going to Hawaii instead, much more original.

New Zealand is 3 and a half hours from Rarotonga instead of 11 hours to Honolulu.

Great place. If anyone is reading this who is doing/planning a round the world trip, its a great place to chill out in for a week or 2 if you've just done the hard travelling round Asia, Oz / NZ etc. Theres not much in the way of pubs/bars etc but you can explore the lovely island, hire cyles and bike all the way round the island, about 1.5 to 2 hours,and have beer in the main town (forgot it's name) and laugh with (or at) your fellow 'knobby travellers' Would go back.
