when i try to get the app on my facebook page via " Add to my Page" i get the following message : You do not admin any pages for which this application can be installed

i just registered a mobile but i guess thats just not enuff ..

@beeboo77....No, you need to set up a Facebook page first, or be the administrator for someone else's page in order to use this app. Hope that helps

@smoode1600 yes, you can. You can do this from your edit page.

@kissesfrme you can use any html editor you like...even your wordpress blog if you like. Or, if you know html, you can of course write your own code. Dreamweaver is a more elaborate program than Kompozer, but you have to pay for it, unlike Kompozer.

@weplaygo you can't edit the url of the app page, but you can of course customize the url of your facebook page and then set the default landing tab to your app.

Lets say once people hit like on my page, Can i direct them straight to the Discussion box for example?? I tried doing it on my page but it never worked for me. Once my fans hit LIKE i want them to be directed to my Bandpage.

@amandaakalila15 You need to host your photos somewhere like Amazon S3 and then add the direct link. I touch upon this very briefly at the end of the video. The video suggests using Photobucket, but given the changes that are happening at Facebook with secure servers, I suggest using Amazon S3 instead.

@StChristophersEpCh It will appear in the left sidebar of your page as a welcome tab...it will have a star icon next to it.

How do you create a contact form using Komposer? I've added on a second tab ... but now I'm stuck!

@EatonKS You do not need to use Kompozer to create a contact form for your fb page. Just use one of the existing applications for that. Type 'contact form' in the search box on your fb page and various options will pop up. Install the app in the same way that you installed the 'static html iframe tab' application. One I have used is facebook.com/contact.form.  Hope that helps.

I upload it via photobucket like you said, and I am using Kopozer.

@susperole Are you suing Facebook's secure browsing by any chance? If you are, try switching that off temporarily and see if that fixes your problem with the images.

If it does, then I'm afraid the problem lies with the hosting on Photobucket that is insecure. I'm afraid you will have to upload your images to a secure hosting account, such as Amazon S3 instead.

Since all I want for now is to simply add a like button, would I just copy and paste more or less the entire html code from my current page after inserting the codes generated from the add button page? i set landing page the page that i created.

When non fan visits my fanpage, he/she will automatically land on my created page.

but if someone is already a fan, then first thing what happens is that they land on my fanpages wall.

can i change that?

SME stands for Sony Music Entertainment . My guess is you are using some music that Facebook is not licensed to play. Try changing the soundtrack.....that is if you are using a soundtrack and make sure you are using a track free of copyright.

Louise, I used the embed code from a youtube video and transferred it to Kompozer. When I saved it and clicked browse, the video appeared fine. When I copied it to the static HTML and clicked the start arrow I got the following message. "This video contains content from SME. It is restricted from playback on certain sites" Is this something new? It actually still works fine on my welcome page using the old static FBML? Any thoughts on this? Thanks for your help.

@kaf414 Hi...glad you were able to transfer your old FBML site . To add a video, you can just take the embed code and drop it straight into your html code. For photos, you will also need the html code. The simplest way to do this is using Kompozer or any other editor to import your photo as described in the tutorial and then get the html code that way. You might find it easier to reproduce your entire page in Kompozer and then transfer the entire html code over into the app.

@babyrocasmama The HTML can be anything you want...you are starting with a completely blank canvas, so, no it does not have to have a document head if you don't want to include one. Hope that helps.
