@MonkeylessJohn Thanks John!! I still sing this one all the time. It makes me feel happy inside! WoW has it really been 3 years! Time is moving right along John! these were the good all days for you tube. Harry Mcclintock was such a great songwriter!! Sort of the precurser to Woody. Hey John I hope your having a great summer!
First heard this song performed by John Hartford during the "O' Brother Where Art Thou?" tour some years back. Instantly fell in love with it then. Listening to you do it now just brought back a huge smile and great memories of that night. Awesome job, Dan!
Wow you nailed that song to a tee.. Good job! You got the same exact voice as him.. Its hard to do as he has that tremer in his voice cause he is getting old. So you did a great job on a hard song. "My Hair" "Oh George Not the live stock" LoL.. My favorite movie must seen it 40 times. "well we were fixin to fornicate"
It would be awful hard for McClintock to have written this in '43, I have a recording of McClintock doing Big Rock Candy Mountain dated to 1928. You did a nice job with the song though.
Not sure how I missed this one . I've always loved this song, you do a superb job on this !!!!!!!!!!!! Another one for my favourite box !!! It's getting kinda full.
