I think that stuff like this can come off at first as weird, but really when people become more familiar with it, it's not weird, it's just something new.

On a side note, it's pretty funny that when the camera reveals the audience clapping at the very end, almost everybody turns out to be a young man with glasses. I think I heard some women shouting in the background, though... Obviously I know that there are female fans of TMBG---it's just hilarious that that particular cross section of the audience was chosen for that shot.
