  • Easy Goer, just colossal performance after colossal performance in his lifetime of colossal performances. Cases can also be made for his second fastest Belmont ever, his record mile in 1:32:2,his Travers which was one of the fastest Travers ever run, his Suburban which was just off of the track record in a handicap race, or his Champagne which was one of the fastest runnings, and others as well, but this Whitney is up there.

  • It was many of these extraordinary, outstanding performances by Easy Goer throughout his life at the ages of 2,3 and 4, which makes it no secret why Beyer stated that from a "speed-performances standpoint, Easy Goer ran faster and better than Slew,Affirmed and Bid, at the ages of 2 and 3 years old."

  • "Easy Goer, Hall of Fame champion, will always be mentioned in the same breath with the greatest of ALL TIME", BH Top hundred book. Scores and numerous performances like this one is why. Magnificent, majestic and superb was Easy Goer.

  • Does anyone have the 1989 Gotham stakes?? Or the Wood Memorial?

  • @rbrebrook I posted the 89 Gotham today..

  • @Partymanners2 Great,Great Post Race Footage of Easy Goers Gotham!!

  • @Partymanners2 How about the 89' Jockey Club Gold Cup? Fitting, since the Jockey Club is being run this week! I second the point on that amazing extended coverage of Easy Goer's record mile Gotham.

  • TY for uploading this. It's been a long while since I viewed this race. I didn't realize how much bigger a stride EG had over his competition...hes just loping along until he splits em at the top of the stretch.

  • Extraordinary Easy Goer. Easy Goer's record three year old mile run of all time in 1:32.2,breaking Secretariat's record by a full second, and a tick off Dr. Fager's storied world record set at the age of four, and his extraordinary, second fastest Belmont Stakes of all time with only Secretariat ever faster, are the two greatest performances since Bid in 1980, but this Whitney and his Travers are truly not far off and on scale with those two.

  • An unheard of final 1/8 in 11 seconds.Wow wow! I don't think there were many horses at all who could have beaten Easy Goer in this race, and many others in his career I will add. Easy Goer had that that top ten ability,talent,constitution,speed-stamina combo, and he had it at every distance he ran, 6.5F,7F,8F,9F,10F,12F.

  • Very nice race featuring Easy Goer. Despite my love of Sunday Silence, Easy Goer just made those older horses look senile. While Sunday Silence excelled in moderate distances, Easy Goer seemed to take the extra mile better than him and had better endurance.

  • Thank you so much Partymanners, been waiting for these historic Easy Goer races!
