Rare owns RC Pro-Am, right? Since they're with Microsoft , imagine a 1080p 2D remake (emphasizing 2D, mind you) 4-8 cars online, spell out the words M-I-C-R-O-S-O-F-T to advance. Come on Rare, lose this Kinect shit and go back to the way things once were, and remind the world once again why we play games in the first place.

The peach car gets ridiculously fast when you cheat with a Game Genie and make it to the 2nd and 3rd play through of all the stages. It can win even when it drives in circles the entire race.

Oh, I remember this game. Brings back memories when I was a kid. You can get a NES Emulator and a ROM to play it on PC. Good times.

I wore this game out as a kid back then. lol I got as far as to those low profile style Corvette type cars, and that was it. It got super hard at that level! I was playing it in early of 2000's, and a friend of mine saw RC Pro Am for a first time on the NES, and said, " That's what the slow asses need to speed up! " LOL ....He was talking about those red arrows on the track. I SOO agree with him, they need those on the real highway to hurry the poke asses out there. ha ha

My game was the original Metroid! To this day, of all times! What an innovative game.

But this game got all of us with that impossibly fast TURBO CAR!!!!!!!! I got to level 30 one time. I played the craaaaaaap out of this game to try to beat it. Now at 36yrs old, I FIND OUT THERE'S NO END! Arg Arg Arg Arg

I didn't notice until now, this game had weapons in it. That means this game is the predicesor to Super Mario Kart! That's pretty cool. Rare should make a new RC Pro AM game, since technically they did "kart racing" first.

This game is sitting in my NES right now. Shouldn't be too hard to find if you have a good used old game store in your area. I got it cheap. My mom actually THREW OUT many of my old NES games (like, actually threw them out in a garbage bag! If she at least sold them, I wouldn't have been so peeved), but I've restocked quite nicely.

Ah I still have the game... in fact it was sitting in my nes when I said that. I didn't have the cable to hook the nes up to my TV though. I decided to look for it again and noticed the red and yellow slots on the side, and realized I could use that kind of hook up. So I started playing my old nes yesterday.

Just to add one bit of advice: The "lime green" car goes at a constant rate of speed. The "baby blue" car goes somewhat faster than you then somewhat slower than you. The "peach" car is told to occasionally cheat whenever you attack a vehicle with missiles or bombs. Seen in Level 24.

@hentaiseeker Ever since I first played this on the NES over 20 years ago (I'm 28 now), I always had that suspicion that the cars were rigged in some way, especially the peach car. That thing would just blow by me like I wasn't even moving and I'd yell at the screen "What the-?!?" and you wouldn't catch up to him, no matter what you did. Good times. lol
