@biggestMetallicAfan yeah it's lame... even if I sit in the golf course I've had them ask for ID. Drives me nuts that some other airports have observation areas, yet here in Salt Lake they tore it up..shut it down and harass anyone who wants to sit out there and listen to the radio. Like osama bin laden and his idiots have SLC on their lists of places to hit. :P

@Matt007b They take it to seriously, when i was there, me and my friend parked in the golf course parking lot, and they said it was closed, so they frisked us, and then searched our cars. It's ridiculous.
But anyway, what are some of the spots you go to there?

You know, I know if you google maps/earth there's a spot in the industrial area on the west runway that's half decent.. also the short term parking looking out east is awesome but of course it costs money to park your car in there ..basically the golf course is the best place. I e-mailed the director once asking if they'd ever re-open and they didn't have any plans to do so..(lame)
@biggestMetallicAfan nice yeah I'm thinking of applying for something aviation related (my current job sucks) but they do give you a GA pass on the east side if you do that..and you get a great view..sometimes I've seen the ground crews sitting in golf carts near taxi kilo watching planes on slow days..front row seats ;) good luck - hope you get it!

I got to meet one of the detailers..he seemed to not like his job so much.. and wanted to quit but I mean..he let me walk around in a G5.. amazing. I interviewed with them back in 07' for a line position and I know they pay $10hr..long as you're busy and you stay outside (that's what she wanted me to do) she was happy with me.. health problems screwed me up and I couldn't do it.. anyway hope you get it!
