Yup, it's allowed on tests (and some teachers even recommend it).

It's helpful for (obv) ap calc, physics, engineering. You can use it on the SATs, PSATs, APs and classrooms (unless your teacher specifically tells you no) BUT it is not permitted for the ACTs.

You don't know how to use it then.

It is made to simplify the equation. If you want an exact answer for division instead of a fraction, hit the diamond button, and then the enter button. It will give you an "approximate" answer, which is the fraction in decimal form.

you ran out of memory. really old computers did this too when you ran out of memory. a ti-89 is basically a computer which is why is can display in exact radians and such. and that is why many classes ban them

I thought archiving was the same as locking.

The only that isn't archived with me are the xs and ys and the settings.

I don't think it's possible to archive/lock my settings?

Use:

Delvar x,y

at the end of your programs to delete them, and don't archive settings.

The difference is that archiving puts it in the Flash ROM where you have most memory, simply locking keeps it in the RAM.
