Tried to fight Lanius bare handed, took friggin forever!! had to heal like 15 times before i managed to kill him, I used the Ranger Knockdown attack which really helped

lol had to sign in with my wifes thing. forgot mine. the space helm is a nice touch but if u woulda exsplored u would have found the remnants helm which looks wicked lol cant decide if its a demon or bug look yet. and he is kinda hard yet easy. if u sneek atk with a modded sniper carbon fiber/silencer with ap bullets he goes down alot faster lol. u can also max level in a day with the rifle since u can kill ncr and legion even towns folk and lose no karma or rep :)

@deeja04 is it just me or is lanius weak against melee? i wasted 52 rounds of sniper ammo into his skull on normal difficulty and im fairly certain i was using a good sniper + max skill and complementing armour, and you only appear to of had to crush his face with a sledge hammer 10 or 12 times....

@goarmy979 I havent gone on any further with the quests mainly because i hit lvl 20 and got me-self the explorer perk resulting in me lvling my guy up to 30 =D. The best advice i could give to you is go ahead and not rush it, go around and explore. Get yourself Oh Baby! ( a unique S.Sledge found in Jakobstown Cave ) and start wrekin anything and everything that gets in ur way. Become a higher lvl then go face the nasty Legate.

I did end up getting Ninja although I was finding myself rarely sneaking around. With 2 ranks of toughness, stone wall and the DT implant I take so little damage there's no point.

Since fallout new vegas is slightly different from fallout 3, did you solely focus on the melee/unarmed and whichever tag skill you had or did you put skill points into other skills to eg. Barter, Speech? Cause i made a melee class but i kinda fucked up and put many points into different skills and it ended up being a really shitty character.

Whether I'm playing guns or melee I personally like to max my weapon skill first (in terms of New Vegas that should be 88, since you get 12 points from books without comprehension). If you're going melee or unarmed you need points in both for the better perks.

But this game is an RPG for a reason, it's meant to be played how you want to play it, that's the beauty of it.
