Well I suppose you get what you train for, and I only train for strength really, for the olympic lifts, but I was very strong for my size back then... you should take a look at Clarence0 Channell, he is unbelievably strong for his age and size, he's only 17, weighs 80 kg and can do things like a 240 kg deadlift, 175 kg clean and jerk etc, hes phenominal!

  • Good work, its impressive. But focus on form and not just dropping the bar in the middle of the rep. Take it to failure the proper waay. Cheers

  • haha thanks, i think that deadlifting does push your form a bit, but i suppose u could say that it is good form because i can lift the most weight like that :P

  • could i ask, say week after week how much weight are you increasing your deadlift, im at 110kg x 10 reps and i increase about 2.5 or 5 kg, does it get really slow at the weight ur lifting? sorry if i sound like a retard lol :) but keep it up u shuld be proud ey

  • Hi! well urm its difficult to say because i very rarely deadlift beleive it or not lol! Well i can say that deadlift is really hard to improve on compaired to squats and bench say and ye its hard work, but luckily i was always good at them. Ye thanks and No thats not a retarded question lol, all i can say is just do ya best, vary your reps and the best way to improve is heavy squats and alternate deadlifts :) wd u like me to write u a % programme?

  • your lucky then, iv struggled from the beginning with ma genetics , i remeber when i first started training i couldnt do a single pushup or situp, n my body was like the opposite of v shaped it was bigger at the hips lol, o ok ye i shuld start doin squats, never done em but ill start next weak real light :0 but ye thanx for that im hoping to reach 200kg maybe end of next year o and dw about the program thanx anyway, well ill be waiting to see a video of you soon doing 300kg deadlift lmao :)

  • lol well I did really, well in terms of my body shape, but i wasnt weak, so i suppose ive got a little disadvantage but i worked really hard for it. lol!! Never done squats :O ahhhr! lol thats like the most importatt LOL! - Ok yea u shd start. haha you will if you do squats, if you can alternate front-back and keep deep lol and raw of course. lol well im competing in Israel so it'l be a week or so lol!

  • thats a good lift with no straps for that weight, with straps u would pull it off easy.

  • mate im about 17 kg heavier than u (not fat!) and u make me look like a absolute runt, i would seriously question whether i'd get 200 up for 1 and even if i could, you're still 3 years younger than me!

  • 221 is the raw British record for U18 in the 75kg class mate. 196&1/2 in the 67.5 class and 215 in the 82.5 class!

  • hey thanks man! dont worry i worked for this, im an olympic weightlifter, just proving that oly lifters are just as strong as powerlifters, but ive always been good at these, just focus on good form and alternating reps as well as the exercise, do lots of squats and bench as well and youl soon deadlift 200 kg, good luck
