You can zoom BEFORE you start recording though. Had the cam weeks before finding that out. Handy at a concert where you can zoom in on stage and press record.

my olympus FE-210 can zoom when in movie mode

i jus bought one yesterday n its awesome!!! i dropped it on da ground 3 times but nuting happened (not even a scratch!!) cuz of its titanium coating

that's one of the flaws of digital cameras (all of them, as far as i'm aware), as their original intentions were for picture taking.
so to answer your question, sadly you cannot. :(

i just bought a sony w300, and i love it, but when i tried uploading my videos that i took with it onto youtube it said "failed". what am i doing wrong? How did you get your video onto youtube? please help. :/

how long was the video? was it in "fine" or "standard" mode
there are some restrictions for the size of the file...that could have been it

the video quality is smoother than youtube allows, as you predicted
i just discovered some more interesting things with it just today actually, like random editing options in camera, the different slideshow options were pretty entertaining at first run
i read plenty of reviews before purchasing, and the general complaint was the lens...but i don't frankly see what the angle is on that.
