Hunting Public Land in California

Forget reservations and all the headache, find BLM next to the refuge and skybust birds if you have to. I get my limits almost every weekend through the whole season and hunt where literally 3-4 other people hunt and the birds are moving in the thousands everyday.

i grew up hunting in nor cal (chico) and i'm so ashamed that such a great place has fallen victim to CA politics. if you read ANY of our regs regarding hunting or fishing here you will see that it's set up so you cant kill anything. i still wish we could split in half as a state and we will even give you san francisco so cal. all we ask is that you don't even come through here libs. we would be better off. it's so cal and san fran that give cali a bad name.

@ferrari4sale if you wanna hunt ducks/snow geese go to wister which is in imperial valley, i dont know if san jacinto is good for geese but theres some excellent duck hunting there, id reccomend putting in a season long application

goin out to public land here in CA is gr8 you wont always shoot a limit but i love doin it im 17 and i drive my self out and hunt wen ever i can and i shot on avrg about 4 r 5 ducks at sac,delevin,or graylodge.

Here in Delaware we have the exact samething (lottery) i do like to do this but... I still think hunting on private property is better because its not over hunting as if hunting on public you have over 200+ hunters in the area which could spook the birds out.
