We had those bells throughout my infant/junior school and I used to be absolutely terrified of them going off for a fire drill. They were SO loud, especially echoing up the concrete corridors. Is that battle-ship grey in colour? I couldn't make out from your video. The school I attended was built in the 1960's and the bells were originals, still in situ and used as the fire bell today infact. I live next to the school now and hear them clearly when they have a drill. Poor kids! lol
We had gent conventional alarm sounders.12511-52's they were and were very loud. it was quite an old school so the classrooms/corridoors were very big which meant that the sounders echoed aswell.
Do you have a picture of those sounders? I'm not up on all the model numbers. The only sounders I remember from the 80's were large square black ones with like a silver cone in the middle. If you're from the UK and watch Waterloo Road, you can see them in that.
lol it brings back memories when i used it on the ctec a couple of weeks ago. It nearly burnt it a couple of times and made it go funny and cat wierd. when i get my new panel at christmas ill hook it up then
OMG! that bell is the same tone as my edwards adaptabell no.435 bell!!!
