Thank you, "2reelers" for opening the flood gates on YouTube, for all the Non-Stooge Columbia films. It gives much perspective to see how other comedians would be when put in the same script, scenery, and sound effects. There is one comedian I have never found here on YT, Barbara Jo Allen AKA Vera Vague. Have others requested her?
Interesting how Columbia used and constantly reused the same basic stories and gags over and over and over again, no matter who was performing them. This is another story that was done with the Stooges(Shemp) in the late 40's not to long after this version was done. did people in the theaters back then have a problem with short term memory loss or what? *LOL*
THe "walk this way please" gag, just never gets old, it's always so funny, and this short is absolutely brilliant, thank you 2reelers, for bringing this to my attention
@TheClassicComedyEra Glad you are enjoying these comedies. Of the 336 non-Stooge Columbia two-reel comedies (that Jules White and Hugh McCollum produced in Hollywooed), I have collected 234 of them!
