@xaxie1 In all fairness, M didn't have too much screen time. That doesn't make what I said any less true tho. She bitches at him plenty, especially in QoS. I love that scene in QoS where she just storms into this guy's office and, without even a word, the guy cuts her off and says "ok what's Bond done now?" That is her character in a nutshell. I don't get a sense of comradery that Bond and M are supposed to have.
And yes, QoS was horrible. Even I will admit that CR was better in like every way

@ITALIANeagles22 And that's why this ISN'T Bond. They turned it into more of a Bourne movie. "Bond" is not just a "gadget filled super spy movie" Bond is a genre. Reboot or not, if you don't stay true to the character, you run the risk of alienating the long time fans. Bond doesn't belong in the real world and the whole "this is a reboot" logic is nonsense thanks to the inclusion of Judy Dench. You wanna do a reboot? fine, but you can't mix and match canons like that.

Besides, its the movies that I grew up with and loved so, therefore, its the movies that I base my feelings/opinions on. Movie Bond it just a much more interesting and likable character than his book counterpart imo. Book Bond seems too gruff and one dimensional in comparison. To each his own, but Bond was more fun and changed for the better when they brought him to the big screen.

Look, the fact is that with CR, they simply changed far too much too the point where it doesn't FEEL like a traditional Bond movie anymore. I'm all for change, but when you change too much, you run the risk of alienating long time fans. And that's how I felt while watching this. Now Is this a traditionally bad movie? Probably not. But it IS a piss poor Bond movie imo.

Revitalising someone with a defibrilator is not realistic, @ITALIANeagles22. It's something you'd expect in the escapist 20 movies before but not in a film that claims to be realistic like this one. And there are a lot of other unrealistic parts in it. The fight over the cranes at the beginning, it's just as realistic as jumping from one plane to the other in Goldeneye....just to mention but a few.

Her only role in this movie seems to be the that of the angry police chief who is always upset because of the hero's antics. I am simply mocking this cliche. Think back to Arnold's boss from Last Action Hero or the commissioner from the Lethal Weapon Movies if it helps. Sorry if the gag went over your head.
