Peer review is a necessary but not sufficient condition for establishing the validity of any scientific topic. The clinical trial process that regulated drugs go through is significantly more rigorous than the bar for getting research published in a scholastic journal.
It would help if you'd give me an example of the kind of rememdy you're talking about--it doesn't have to be whatever was relevant to your condition.
I'm having trouble understanding what sorts of things are being discussed.
hi again :) for the record, I do not put a great deal of respect in the "peer review" as the only way to prove something is what it is.. as with health for instance. it is my understanding that science (or is it the government?) has little interest in providing testing for natural means of healing as healthy or helpful to ones own immune function.. which to me is very sad, considering that many of the wisdom in plant medicine are ancient, tested, and proven, through there use.
um, it is said (& I believe) that the plants speak & this is how it came to be known of their many uses.
can it be proven that fairies exist or ETs? many folks have seen both.. one cannot tie these creatures down for analysis to prove they do exist, so now what? those folks are crazy?
I guess my point is that NOT ALL things in this experience we call life are easily or able to be explained from a scientific viewpoint..
as for the religious point of view, I would see no harm in it if it were not for the blatant hate & ignorance that it creates in the minds of those indoctrinated by the "good" book. how people are suckered in is both sad & frightening.. to worship a god that will destroy you for not is beyond me! sigh. I was raised in this type of home so I have first hand experience w/the nonsense.
I would just say one thing about natural remedies:
Supposing you're correct and they operate in a way conventional science is unable to explain, they can still be tested. Even if you had no idea how antibiotics interacted with bacteria, you could easily set up a double-blind test with pill A (antibiotic) and pill B (control-sugar pill)and notice a massive difference in results.
Every time this is attempted with "natural" remedies they do no better than the control.
I am very detatched emotionally with the debate about our own origins. I utilmately accepted my unending ignorance of our species pre-history.
But i always agreed with evolution. I'm a man of science who was able to understand the biology behind it.
Though i also could never agree with intelligent design. I've got a large degree of contempt for my own species. If anything was intelligently designed, it was the domesticated dog breeds. Outside of that...
The philosophical response I can give to be fair, is that we are made of star stuff and when the universe achieved consciousness, we respond to the universe with "aha" that is me. Thus, the feeling of intelligence, which is correct and far from supernatural. So, I can agree in that context.
That's called selective breeding, we use it with Cats, dogs, rabbits and almost any animal we use as pets to get the best suitable thing for that dog's job.
You have a great sense of humor, and I'm loving your videos. Keep up the good work, maybe check some of my atheist vids sometime? That'd be nice... :D

what evidence? there is none i studied it for years and there's is know solid evidence for anything in that matter if educational plp are being honest they would say the same i mean its common sense we only know so much but what we know is alot but impossible to know that much just like God you have to actually have true faith and believe from within out, and also if your truly honest i mean really truly honest i think we all know the truth don't we ;)
Ray Comfort does seem like a nice guy. He does seem like he really wants to help people. But I think it is all an act. I think what he really believes in, is money. He makes a huge amount of tax free money here. I think that is one of the problems with having religion orgizations be tax free is that everyone runs to evagilize to make tax free money. Their tax exempt status should be based on their non profit status.

Yes there is religions in the world and God (Jesus) hates religion it only gets in the way of his children to get to know him. religion is man made with a little help and push from the deceiver known as Satan and evolution is one more man made religion
your bible is a carefully compiled and censored religious book, compiled by one of the many religious denominations of the faith of christianity, which itself is a sect of the jewish faith, which was the first (arguable) monotheistics religion which originated with a bunch of shepherds and farmers in the middle east amidst many polytheistic peoples.

Yes I know what a transitional species is. When I go to evolutionist sites you either get partial bones and the rest filled in with art work are you get nothing but drawings! Also the DNA shows a program and intelligent design plainly, but you are in denial!
It's good that you know what a transitional species is. Did you know cabbage is a very good example of an extant intermediate transitional species? Do you know what species it evolved from? Can you name 3 species that evolved from it?
DNA is a building plan for a human correct, but that not mean its intelligent design, how else u explain the parts of dna that are sleeping/not used god put that there to test us? or maybe we do not need them anymore because we evolved.
Is it really that hard to understand that complex lifeforms started from simple lifeforms, just look at science is evolution at light speed, we stared with simple tools that evolved in complex machines and computers, human body is a machine of flesh and bones.
Teardrop by Massive Attack. That song is CLASSIC! The album that song comes from, "Mezzanine", is fantastic. I first found out about Massive Attack because the song, "Dissolved Girl", (also on that album) is on the Matrix soundtrack when Neo is sitting at the computer with his headphones when he gets the message to follow the white rabbit. Talk about disinformation!
It's a common creationist tactic. As soon as they define something testable, they can be shown to be wrong. It's why it's so hard to find a testable definition of the word 'kind'.
Thank you for your post.

Do you know what a species is?
Why not stop looking at the artwork, and start looking at the bones, the indentations, and the DNA.
