Inspiring speech Dr. Woods! As a 24 year old guy, I'm inspired to read about the Federal Reserve, the Constitution, and refining my knowledge of the Bill of Rights. I know the Federal Reserve is an illegal entity, formed against the Constitution and the will of the people. I know about the Fed's criminality of the Wall Street bailouts, but I have yet to understand the full extent of the criminality of the Federal Reserve. As a young person, I will keep reading, and may the truth set me free!

@Mistahyu Allow me to possibly inspire you to read about the Articles of Confederation. (Not to be conflated with the Confederacy, it was the first "constitution" of the newly formed USA.) I think all I need to convince you to look into it is that it did not allow the federal government to impose taxes. :) Oh and did I mention there was no executive branch? :D

I agree that Ron Paul should be the Republican Candidate in 2012 and I hope we can all agree that we need a true Left candidate on the other side. We all need to start working towards this. This speech is very encouraging. This video is good.

i disagree. i honestly dont think he can fit within the ideological framework of the republican party. there are too many entrenched political interests in both parties. i think it would make a lot more sense for him to run as a third party candidate (probably libertarian). i think people are becoming fed up to the point that a 3rd party candidate might have a real chance of winning

I LOVE Ron Paul too, but sadly it may be too late by 2012 with all of the treaties that Obama is signing with the G20 and the United Nations. They want us to sign over our sovereignty to the UN and make the IMF the new Federal Reserve, but it will be controlled by Global Elitists even worse than what we already have witht he Fed!

The democrats poor showing in today's election(11/3/09) may weaken the president sufficiently to slow down his march to socialism--not to mention scaring the bejesus out of both parties.Don't dispair. Early in this video Tom Woods mentions bailing out Wall Street entities with billions of our dollars.

Keep in mind, this was a good month BEFORE Bush announced we had to spend 700 billion to bail out Wall Street and Obama and McCain ran to Washington to hand him 850 billion instead!

Always a pleasure to listen to Tom Woods.

Anyone can give a great speech about anything. No doubt, this is a great speech, but it deserves praise because everything he says is dead right. He hammers home the points that we all know are true, points which people try to actually deny when I've brought them up in discussion before. As if what I'M saying makes no sense (and the Fed somehow does).
