teepee = large piece of canvas, 5-10 wooden poles. tada! They're really easy to set up, and really effective for survival. You don't need to carry the poles, you just need the canvas.
His name is Ray Mears. He makes his living teaching people how to stay alive in some of the worlds most remote and hostile locations. He welcomes you to Extreme Survival!
I love Ray's programs, not only does he show outdoor skills but he teaches historical events and tells of great stories that relate to the outdoor survival skills.
His shows are fantastic, something not political or influenced by the mass media propoganda. Its just about surviving in nature. I am getting prepared to walk off into the mountains, I have no clue really what will happen, I know I would rather perish a free man amongst the trees than die as a slave to debt and consumerism. Society sucks and i have had my fill of materialistic, money mongers. Thank you Ray for educating us. There was a way to live before walmart, and it is the best way to live.
Im currently in south Mississippi and the outdoors here just sucks. Alligators, moccasins, fire ants, plants with skewers on them, I know tropical and subtropical environments are not condusive for my outdoor survival, the climate would make it somewhat easier but I will forgo the warmth. I grew up in Michigan and the worst enemy was the cold and snow, maybe a skunk or black bear at the worst, I also enjoy the net as a luxury and is a great tool to educate ones self in the means of survival.
@babybluesnowden I feel the same, I'm thinking where to go, I have no idea where this is why I'm checking Ray etc researching, great channel you have btw. Peace
@babybluesnowden Very well said, modern society is awful, full of people who's idea of culture is fast food, the latest phones, earning as much as possible etc
@babybluesnowden It's called socialist broadcasting. The BBC is funded by the taxpayer, they have the public to answer to in the quality of their programming and their prime directive, if you will, is to be totally politically impartial. I know it sounds strange to our American cousins but we do get some decent telly without interruption by adverts or propaganda. There are times I resent paying for it, but tbh it is worth it. Especially the political coverage which has to be unbiased, or else.
@jacksawild It is also why your have all 4 channels all showing the same lame darts/billards/etc.... event at the same time. BBC is a good reason to read. Unbiased is a dream.......
@babybluesnowden bet u dont catch any food, then go to kfc and take it back to ur tent lol. ur right tho, people these days know NOTHING on basic survival, i mean, they panic when the electricity cuts off for 10 minutes, theres no tescos in the bush! camping out makes u realise how fake ur life is, with tv's fast cars and debt that u dont need
@MrSweatyZombie Im in the green mountains, still doing research and educating myself, this isnt going to happen tomorrow for sure, It just sucks being a slave to a job working for the Rothschilds. Soon I hope to finally break free. This material world is fake, you hit that right on the head my friend.
@babybluesnowden i see ur educated in whats happening in the world :) im with u all the way! im totally watching all these ray mears videos cos i definately need to get away from this bullshit fake life that surrounds me, it feels good even just to admit it! f@ck it im going to the bush to hunt rabbits and catch fish, they can shove their lcd tv's and media control up their asses lol. anyways, good luck pal!
@BruceBufferFTW A work in progress. Im living in the Green mountains of Vermont, I have much to learn to survive alone in the wilds of nature.. The world has continued to decay this past year only reaffirming my intentions are both viable and practical. I just do not see this instant gratification, convenienced based, service driven society lasting much longer.
bear grylls and ray mears are both very good survivors in the wild, but their shows are just different i.e. I find ray mears´ shows are more intellectual, whereas bear grylls´s are more action-packed.
it's the classic difference in production values between UK and US shows. And the source of many heated debates both on and off youtube! I'd say, if it makes you want to learn more so you can go and try it for real, the producers have done their job.
Story about Jewish brothers in Nazi-occupied Eastern Europe. They escape into the Belarussian forests, where they join Russian resistance fighters and endeavor to build a village in order to protect themselves and about 1,000 Jewish non-combatants.
The spoon making. I was claping my hand to hin alone in my room. Good job Ray!
