  • Looks like a taser on steroids.

  • home security, robbers won't know wtf that sound is until they're in a cop car XD

  • that aint no tesla coil...thats a "dont make me touch you with this" gun

  • Axis TartGit please make an tutorial :)))

  • Probably very similar to a flyback transformer.

  • For stimulating the evacuation of feces.

  • Is that a Microfusion cell from fallout? (:

  • The transformer on the right is from a television set (old picture tube type tv). The components on the left are a driver circuit that pulses the transformer with battery volts. A battery connects to the handle (not shown in picture). this is my best guess as to how it works.

  • I think it's a flyback transformer connected to a doubler or tripler

  • wonder if i could light my weed with it?

  • @thatguru877 right?!? wed realy have a vaporizer then~!

  • @Mr420ways I could heat up my hash skillet too.

  • pretty shocking...

  • I'm guessing you're using a coil of some magneto etc. to strenghten the voltage... any change of getting the schematics for this? I would LOOOVE to see how this beauty works, ofcourse I wouldn't build my own version but my lust for knowlege is craving for the blueprints of this little gadget

  • What voltage/ampage is that thing putting out?.

  • @PLEDGEY looks like about 50 KV but it's driven by a rechargeable Battery so the ampage has to be low. It's just a Paralyzer, it's intended to stun you not to kill you.

  • cool

  • It is very, very impressive, but you are some one I don't want to meet in a dark alley !

  • Redneck's Tazer

  • new tazer that can taze hulk

  • fuck those tazers they have nowadays imagine some one chasing after you with one of those

  • @aderandie2 this is not a Taser, a Taser shoots wired Hooks to deliver the Energy to the Victim.

  • @smellcaster taser or stungun are the exact same thing once you have felt them both from law enforcement and i have...now shut up, know it all

  • @Mr420ways this leaves only one Question: Can a metallic Fabric inside my Clothes deflect the Energy from me ?

Maybe i have to figure it out and hopefully get it working.

  • @smellcaster id buy a metalic coverall if you invented one !

  • @Mr420ways OK, there's a Market opening up. The first Attempt looked like a medival armored Suit made out of tiny Rings from a Copperwire. It was heavy and worked as a Proof of Concept but not reliable enough.

The Race has started, there's a lot of Money to earn for the first one who comes up with a stunproof Suit.

  • omg god thats amazing

  • all i can say is "DAAAAM!"

  • Can you make an instruction?

  • THAT DOESN'T DRILL ANYTHING....A STUN GUN IS CHEAPER,,,,,AND SMALLER.

  • @Tiggerpilot YEAH BUT NOT AS AWESOME!!

  • @Tiggerpilot the point is he made it himself and this is way stronger than a conventional stun gun... im pretty sure this thing could kill you.

  • @Tiggerpilot its smaller but not cheapeer they usually cost around $300... well at least the ones i've seen

  • How many volts is that rockin' to get an arc to propagate through like 2.5 inches of open air? I don't feel like doing the math, and I can't remember the dielectric coefficient for normal air anyway, but that's gotta be 750kV at the very very low-ball least estimate.

  • Hmm, I wonder what would happen if you touched it?

  • The multiple image of sparks have to do with spark pulse duration, as well as the scanning and readout times of the CCD chip. Different spark pulse durations, and spark repeat rate, as well as different CCD chip scan and readout specs (from different camera, or change of exposure time on your existing camera, or frame rate of the camera) would all effect this vertical pattern.

  • Stick your finger in there dude!

  • taser

  • good oscilograf

  • extreme tazer FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i want...care to post specs? instructions?

like...waht the magneto is out of?

  • @montey1017 wow im stupid...whats the transformer out of? like a laptop?

  • JESUS CHRIST!

  • I may have seen the schems for that in a McGraw - Hill book!! ...They had some pretty cool stuff..."negative ion field generator" that makes people feel sick when they pass through the feild! Stuff like that - good job man! That's nasty!

  • man 1: come on then sucker man 2: pulls a drill out

man 1: hahahaha whats that gonna do

    man 2: dzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    man 1: Aaaaaaaaaaaa

man 2: whose laughing now fool

  • what amount Watt power you got afom it??

  • is this thing deadly?

  • @Stallnig pretty sure if you got somone on the top/back of the neck, that amount of juice would interrupt brain activity and you would die...it would be pretty fast and painless

  • join me and thumb down all the "Dear santa"

  • Are those sparks falling downward an effect from the camera, or can you see them in person with your eyes too?

  • but will it blend?

  • make a tesla lawn mower!! :D

  • i don't get it......

  • i want to make one!

  • I'm guessing from the Maplin solder you're in the UK... flyback transformer and what else? I so want one of these!

  • Homemade Tazer!

  • That looks like a lawnmower magneto...

  • @icbm345 maybe need some glasses? :P

  • @AxisTarGit

    I already have glasses :P

  • @icbm345 yes, but do you have a lawn mower?

  • @AxisTarGit

    Yeah

  • @icbm345 ok, reckon you can get a 45mm spark out of the magneto? ;)

  • can u make me one!?

  • One hell of a stun gun...makes the police version look punny!

  • schematics???

  • it looks like the curent is transfering to the drill and going twords the back of it, why is that?

  • looks like that would be really painful if you ended up on the wrong end of it

  • taser?

  • its cool that the lens reflections inside your camera make it look like the bolts of rainbow lightning are jumping off the gun.

  • what do u use to switch the dc power from the bat to the flyback, a 555 or a switching transistor?

  • How did you make that?

  • You're MAD! I tell you MAAAAAD!!!!

  • scare the shit out of traffic wardens with it !

  • If you stick ur hand in front of it and take a picture with film, I've heard you can make an X-ray device

  • I think that the amount of x ray radiation is so small from an electrical arc that it wont expose the film. I believe that if you use a flyback transformer to overload a cathode ray tube you can create x rays powerful enough to expose it.

  • Make two of these with only one spike each and you can go sparkman!

  • LOL, an old LOPT and a little tesla coil....very nice, how many turns did you use in the secondary ???? also, I take it you're using the driver that was in the drill ???......lol...a PWM EHT bug (or nasty person) zapper......good job !!!

  • weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • and point of this device is what ?

  • lulz

  • i dunno, i can think of quite a few possible uses lol

  • Whoa! Thats HOSTILE!! Can you pass scemathics for that????

  • I love that you have too much time on your hands

  • Why do I see a green shift prior to spark and a red shift after? Is the EMP affecting your CCD? It also seem to displace vertically by some measure. At first I thought this was a frequency shift in the camera, but the color shift and line shape doesn't make sense.

    Hmmm.

  • That's true, but it doesn't sound as cool.

"Flyback Oscillator Voltage Multipier Drill" isn't quite as snappy :P

  • its more of a flyback not a teslacoil

  • amazing1 dot com ( i cant enter a url) check these guys out if you want to try this at home ( careful now ) great source of transformers.

  • It's for killing big bugs that I don't fancy picking up (NOT spiders). It's also a variable output high voltage power supply, and can be used in high voltage experiments. Mostly it just makes nice big noisy sparks.

  • please excuse my lack of knowledge on this item .. but what is it for? Is there any good practical use? Please let me know thanks!

  • so... basicly... you made a taser from old junk?

    COOL!!! :D

how much time did you need?

  • depends which end of it you are on :P

  • wow...that looks safe...

  • It's fairly basic electronics. It was constructed by using parts from old TV's and a cheap cordless drill.

I did fancy book learning at technical college :)

  • whoa cool how did you learn about this? how was this thing constructed? where did you do to school?
