  • i have an 80 gallon tank and I am thinking of doing a saltwater reef tank... Just like the one you have but with less fish. How much could I expect to pay for the filtration system? Please someone respond.

  • Man this tank is beautiful keep up the good work.

  • Really nice tank, i have a biub but i right want a wall aquarium so i can have some big fish

  • Can anyone help me out???

I just recently got a bicolour blenny and a coral beauty and the tank has no predator fish in it, i think my blenny bit a hole in my c/b's side and killed it, is this normal??

Would it be from the blenny?

  • im pretty sure your bicolor wouldnt do that. your coral beauty may have gotten fin rot which is common in angels but along with fin rot sores come on there side.

  • highly unlikely the blenny did it. 1st, the blenny isnt fast enought to catch the c/b and 2nd, i dont believe they are carnivorous.

  • blennies are peaceful but very territorial it could have been him

  • Why would you sell that tank?? How long did you have it up and running for?

  • I am replacing my flooring and decided to move a wall, while moving the wall I am going to put a tank in the wall and make it a 200 Gal + I always wanted to have a tank large enough to have a small reef shark. I just dont know if even a 400 gal is big enough.

  • @enash99 reef sharks need 1600 gallons at least. there's two in a 2000 gallon tank in our local fish store and they still seem cramped.

  • WOW very nice, beats my 10 gallon guppy tank lol

  • Do you have a naso tang in there and how long can you have one before it's time to trade him in, if you don't have a grow out tank? Thanks Very nice tank I'm about to set up a 75g and am pumped!

  • Yes I did have a Naso tang and I had him for about a year.

  • nice tank! hey do u think i need a skimmer for my 30g tank check it out! send me a message or comment! thanx

  • it wont hurt, if you can afford it. get one. and please, get a remora. not a sea clone or a red sea.

  • Don't get any of those, get a Reef Octopus.

  • junk. haha. that would work too

  • Yes, I would never have any size reef tank without a skimmer to remove the excess proteins..

  • I haven't had any experience with 10 gallon tank, but I won't recommend anything less than 4-5 watts/per gallon for softies.

    Good luck

  • I cant stand those bow founts I get sicker than a dog looking at them

  • ahhh that sucks. I think they're the best looking tanks

  • coulda used some music : )

  • looks great

  • The lighting looks good. Very bright. I have a 250w 14k on a 29g.

  • very nice tank, love the anemone in the corner!

  • wait my friend said i could not have a sail fin and a yellow tang becuse the have same color but does urs fight at all comment back plz

  • how is that when a yellow tang is yellow and a sailfin is not? As long as you add them at the same time and are roughly the same size it should be fine...just keep a close ye on them for the first few days.

  • No they never fight at all, I have had several tangs. Everyone got along really well.

  • Yeah reef fish tend to live longer on the reefs, douche.

  • depending on wether they were born in captivity, many fish in salt water can be bred in captivity and they adjust better. im not sure about this tank but unicorn tangs can be bred in captivity aswell.

  • extremely attractive tank you have there

  • Thank you! Too bad I just broke it all down to sell it. Going to do something different now.

  • i work at an aquarium hobby shop and i must say that is one hell of a reef tank

  • Thank you! This is an older vid, I just tore it all down and before I sold all the stuff inside it was really amazing.

  • beautiful tank! btw, do you need a wet/dry or sump filter for a reef tank? and do you need live sand or will coral bits substrate do? thanks!

  • You don't neccesarily need a sump for reef tanks however they are the best biological filter. I use an external power filter and it does the job perfectly. Don't bother buying live sand as when you get live rock within a week or more the bacteria will colonise in your substrate and your substrate will become live within a few weeks. It's cheaper to let it happen that way.

  • Sure I will post one tonight.

  • In your next vid can you show us how you did your manifold with your canopy?

  • pretty tank nice decorating but there is just 1 to many fish in it

  • how big is your unicorn tang?

  • Amazing setup! How much did you spend in total?

  • approximatly 10,000$ most of that was the equiptment, the tank, stank and canopy was 2500, 800 for the chiller, 650 for the lighting, 250 for the skimmer, 150 for the UV filter, 600 for sump, pumps, filters, tons for all the plumbing, R/O setup with 35 gal mix tank, couple hundred for all the electrical. Then the live stock. The sand rock and inhabitants cost the rest. All in all it was spread out over 4 months.

  • nice 1
