I'm glad ADAM ain't upset over anything he did. He done an interview, n the interviewer said to him: "there were children watching. Do u understand y parents r upset?" n he said: "no I don't cuz the show was on at 11:30 n any parent with common sense would watch it b4 letting there child watch it. Not so much a double standard as it is the networks they broadcast on. The 2004 Billboards where broadcast on FOX which had always been notorious for more adult type content. Pink's gesture was racy but people basically said "oh well, it's FOX." Adam did his thing on ABC during prime time. There's the real difference.

People on the EAST and WEST coasts got it at almost 11PM and Central time at 10 PM.In the FIRST act of the night, EARLY, Janet Jackson grabbed her male dancer's crotch! I don't think he went into the performance determined to do what he did, but he said himself that he got caught up in the heat of the moment after watching Lady GaGa blows everyone's brains to smithereens with her explosive piano. I don't think that Adam thought doing something a little outrageous like he did would create all of this media attention and fallout though.

@BeautifulMistake96 I have to disagree. Yeah, Adam kissed Tommy on stage, but that got overshadowed by his whole "simulated oral sex" bit of the performance anyway. The head to the crotch was what all of the controversy here was truely about, and it pisses me off to no end that I heard about Adam on the news immediately, but it took me weeks to find out about this. The double-standard here is really pretty ridiculous.
