I wish you guys would have focused on body positivity more. I find it hard to relate to this as someone who is not recognized as the way media and "gay" culture depicts beauty and marginalizes non-ideal body shapes in the community. I do like the issues you tackle. I hope I can see it soon.

I fucking love it. I saw this movie when I was 16 when it came to Portland, Maine and the friend I saw it with made me a t-shirt that says "love revolution, not state delusion." He also dressed up as the character with fishnets on their head for Halloween.

Seriously... this movie may have changed my life. It was my first exposure to such a radical view on marriage/heteronormativity.

all i'm saying is that by including all those queer identities within the institution of marraige we are normalising 'other' identities into acceptable heteronormativity. Even if marraige does include gay partnerships now it is still gender normative and inheriantly binary. a queer position should always be the 'other' in opposition to dominanting concepts of marriage.

great movie! it's a must see--campy, sexy, radical, and Dolly to boot!
