Glad someone caught this on film. The 40 was suposed to work the whole diagram, but apparently wouldn't start. The hoover took it up to Rawtenstall and back, but when it got back to Bury the whistlet was working and they put it on the front for the run to Heywood. It was absolutely hellfire once the combo was out of the station and 8 columns of EE clag rent the air!
That's me leaning out of the first non-vestibule window. My lordz!
