Jamie Gold is such a fuck. You win against the biggest field in WSOP history, but you see a 7 high straight flush in a cash game and you're like "OH MY GOD." There's a clear difference between players who got rich off tournaments and players who got rich off cash games.
Damn, benyamine played it very bad in my opinion... To get the maximun he should've just called the the raise on the turn after all that he said making it seem like he was drawing and with the no club on the river Farha would have bet for value and then Benyamine could do the mega raise....Just my opinion.

@jaelim90 its harder to get value OTR if he just flats the turn, if he checks sammy might check back, if he donks it looks very suspicious + there's a lot of action killers OTR, a 3bet on the turn looks kinda bluffy as sammy would expect benyamine to flat with a monster so it might induce a shove.. its just a tough spot really, and a perfect example of how powerful position is.

If he had just smooth called Sammy's raise he'd probably have hit Sammy for another $25-50k, unless another club had come on the river.
With the Qs dropping on the river I can't see Sammy leading out with less than $80k, or calling less than $80k if he checked to Benyamine. If Sammy had checked on the river Benyamine would have been able to make it look like he was trying to buy the pot with a high club missed 4-flusher.

He's not going to continue without a flush after he raised the turn like that. If he has the flush he gets paid most times, if he doesn't have the flush I doubt he calls even another bet of 115.
I don't understand the river play. Most of the time, when you overbet the pot to that degree, you typically don't want to get called. You also do not want to show your hand when the other player mucks. Why would he make this kind of play and then show his hand? Doesn't he want to keep the table guessing?
david played it fine..if he just called farha's turn raise, he would surely get less. think about it...100k in pot on river and he checks..farha will be about 1/2 or maybe a little more or maybe even check but fold to check raise..plus the river could kill his action..best case would be for farha to have a big flush (ace flush especially).

I think Benyamine could've played that better. The only reason to bet so hard on the river is to not get called and not have to show your hand. He goes and shows it anyway! I think he would've gotten more out of Sammy by smooth calling the turn and then check-raising the river. Sammy was super confident about his hand, so he would've certainly bet out on the river.

David Benyamine is so great. Too bad he mistakes that 250,000 bet. Gabe Kaplan was right about it being way too high. Betting somewhere between 75,000 and 150,000 would've looked like a bet that said that he wants to steal the pot and has a marginal hand.

Imo Benyamine misplayed on the turn.
If he had just smooth called Sammy's raise he'd probably have hit Sammy for another $25-50k, unless another club had come on the river.
With the Qs dropping on the river I can't see Sammy leading out with less than $80k, or calling less than $80k if he checked to Benyamine. If Sammy had checked on the river Benyamine would have been able to make it look like he was trying to buy the pot with a high club missed 4-flusher.

What are you all talking about. He played it great all the way until the big river bet.
Sam probably would have called something like 120k but 250 was too much.
I like the turn 3bet. He knows a guy like sammy isn't folding there, will try and make a full house. So he got an extra 75k out of him there.
If he just smooth called the 40k, sammy would have got suspicious and there are a lot of cards which could kill the action for David, such as another club.

Yeah David is a beast but he didn't play this one too well. I like the turn lead, but 3betting the 40k from Farha is a mistake. Well, maybe not, because he called. Potting the river is baaaad. U could see how Davids body language shifted oh so mildly when Farha asked him if he had 45.

David is an idiot...raising the turn with a str8 flush?????and then betting pot value when he feels sam is figuring out he is getting fished and also figuring out too many hands could beat sami thats why he didnt re-raise??stupid move i would say he shouldve flat called the turn and raise the river card x2tox3 to what ever sami would bet to confuse sami to maybe stealing the pot and making it value for him to call..the more sami bets the more he would feel he is committed as the pot gets bigger.

He's not going to continue without a flush after he raised the turn like that. If he has the flush he gets paid most times, if he doesn't have the flush I doubt he calls even another bet of 115.

I don't understand the river play. Most of the time, when you overbet the pot to that degree, you typically don't want to get called. You also do not want to show your hand when the other player mucks. Why would he make this kind of play and then show his hand? Doesn't he want to keep the table guessing?

david played it fine..if he just called farha's turn raise, he would surely get less. think about it...100k in pot on river and he checks..farha will be about 1/2 or maybe a little more or maybe even check but fold to check raise..plus the river could kill his action..best case would be for farha to have a big flush (ace flush especially).

The big bet on the river was because he prob thought farha had a flush also, or a str8 or at worst a set wiv him calling a 75k re raise on the turn, wiv so much commited on the turn benymine had 2 be putting farha on a monster hand , its easy 2 critizise after knowing wat there hole cards are, if benymine knew farha only had a set of 2s he wouldnt of bet so much

I think Benyamine could've played that better. The only reason to bet so hard on the river is to not get called and not have to show your hand. He goes and shows it anyway! I think he would've gotten more out of Sammy by smooth calling the turn and then check-raising the river. Sammy was super confident about his hand, so he would've certainly bet out on the river.
