  • @whataracket - Vodka Collins lead singer Alan Merrill will be in Japan this August 12th 2010 to perform at the Joe Yamanaka benefit at Club Crocodile in Tokyo. He will be on stage with Monsieur Kamayatsu and Take Yokouchi founding members of Vodka Collins, so it will be a kind of band reunion.

  • They changed the street signs in Roppongi from "Roppongi - High Touch Town" to "Roppongi Roppongi" !! So, songwriter Alan Merrill's influence is everywhere! Even Tokyo city planning. lol

  • @sooziwoozi ; ) I saw that!!

  • Something very Clapton and Stones mixed in here. Cool!

  • This club is Sweet Basil in Tokyo Japan.

  • Rock 'n' roll!

  • I adore the guitar bits! The "In Crowd" reference is brilliant.

  • Vodka Collins!!

  • Monsieur and Alan are gods!

  • Nice guitar solo:)

  • "Roppongi Roppongi, let your hair down"! So funny. Alan Merrill is such a strange character. Classic stuff.

  • ////Great/////

  • Roppongi is a place in Tokyo, like Times Square in New York or Chelsea in London. The names (ex. - Seventh Heaven) are of popular dance clubs in the Roppongi district. I guess the lyric means to have fun while you're young:)

  • Okay, I will admit it, I am stupid.

    What is he singing about?

    Skye

  • Yeh! but it would rock a lot better if we had the whole track. Surely there must be a dvd of these reunion gigs, this is so frustrating only seeing bits and pieces, but better than nothing i guess. Love Pink Soup best of these, love that upbeat rhythm and edge to it.

  • yeah roppongi rocks :)
