  • When I was young my mom was dying from AIDS, I lived with my grandmother at the time, one night when my mom came home she was so sick she didnt make it to the toliet on time, my grandmother, a Christian, started to yell at her with disdain and hate, calling her all this horrible things, that my mom was left crying on a toliet seat in her bodies filth, making her repent on a bible. That memory has always been with me, something so sad and horrible, CTB

  • @lunayasha Weeks later my mom died, from what I can see in this video there is more love, kindness, compassion and dignity in this woman's passing (assisted suicide) than what any Christian is offering up. No Im not saying all Christians would do what my grandmother did but I thoroughly believe you need to stop forcing your opinions and beliefs on other people, TBC

  • @lunayasha because in effect they are truly causing more pain, frustration, and death than any other diease in the world. Let these people make their own decisions, if you truly believe god has created you then you must believe god has given people free will, and the choice this woman has made is out of free will.

  • awww R.I.P

  • damn waste of some good chocolate

  • Life is wonderful....even in illnees one must fight to live.I have had serious mediacl problems..i prefer life to death..!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Its french by the way

  • I dont know what to say. This is wrong and yet laudable . Every part of me says no .

  • @luckylangerie Then why are you watching it? People have a RIGHT to choose for themselves.

  • @RENOGUY777 I dont care if you kill yourself. Go ahead : ) I was just riveted to this . I am unused to such a private moment being displayed on an entertainment channel . It was disturbing and at the same time poignant .

  • @luckylangerie Well then excuse my numbness. I did 2 tours in the sandbox, i am numb to death.

  • @RENOGUY777 it will wear off perhaps . I hope "the down " when it does wear off happens when you have surrounded yourself with love and friendship

  • @luckylangerie Hope so, guess i will have to make that last part happen friend. :)

03's lead the way, lover by night, rifleman by day. Semper Fidelis.

  • A velha falava pra cacete... deve estar no inferno enchendo o saco do capeta

  • a non-lethal bone disease? so im assuming that she's in constant pain?

  • i thought it was a joke...

  • She died a peaceful, painless death. She had her loved ones around her, was able to speak up until her last moments, she had all her functions intact. Tell me would you have inflicted a horrible, painful death on this woman? and cornered her into this choice, the only other option being equally bad, starving to death as a form of suicide. Now tell me which is the most kind option, the one with the most dignity?. If we have a right to life, so should we have a right to death, its a part of life.

  • I love the idea of this. but i do give her props. i would drink it then freak out because i changed my mind. lol R.I.P

  • Can't you that that woman is crazy?. I can

  • To get active euthanasia, it is necessary to have a terminal illness that will take your life in the foreseeable future. It requires a rigorous medical examination, and interviews with attending physicians from their home. The doctor can then give their approval or rejection of the request.

  • Wow, that was a very sweet story, thanks. I've read a lot about Switzerland, I know Sedes who have been there to get "help"...

  • That's some DARK shit right there.....Very dark indeed.

  • @mechahalcon fucked me up for sure : )) whoa !

  • @tampabayismyhome probably at the bank entrance..but u wouldent need the drug...ud die there and than

    xD

  • Thats one brave lady much respect

  • @Jasper8372 Yes, one brave lady. Full of energy, humour, caring and courage (to agree to the taping) until her very last second. A model to live and to die. Thank you Switzerland for allowing people not to live in suffering but to die with their dignity intact.

  • I want this video on my WX280 phone.

  • @ignaciofulle49 what the fuck

  • So, if she didn't have a fatal bone disease she just wanted to off herself...interesting!

    rest in peace, Michelle.

  • Both very brave ladies. One for her compassion and the other for her good humour and stoicism. I'm a grown man and this made me cry like a baby.

    Rest in peace Michele.

  • I think I m gonna have nightmares now

  • Suicide or murder or whatever you want to call it, is not the eternal and unpardonable sin, read Mark chapter 3. Even though I myself am not sure if this is OK in God's eyes, I do not judge. I wept instead.

  • thats fucking awsome!!!!!!

  • Awesome video. I wish this service was available in the United States. Everybody should have the right to die with dignity and at their discretion.

  • @hydeist0666

YOU STICK TO SUCKING YOUR DADDY'S DICK FUCK WANK

  • I cant understand why there are so many people complaining about other people that choose to die how they want.

It's their decision, these people have been suffering for many years and they WANT TO DO THAT.

This shouldn't bother ANYONE on the planet, whether you, me or the governement, except for maybe their friends and family.

But I have a question: Does anybody know which medicament they are taking to kill themselfes?

Would be cool if somebody knows that, it's just interesting to me.

  • @wyzy09

And sorry for my bad english, I hope you can understand it though

  • @wyzy09

Ok, I found it out by myself.

It's "Pentabarbital", a short-term lasting barbiturate, that causes the stop of breathing and heart

  • @wyzy09 Probably an overdose of barbituates

  • @wyzy09 nembutal

  • @wyzy09

on the other hand i cant understand why good chocolate should be wasted as this one.

''could i have some chocolate cause this tastes bad?''

''no cause i can ensure u ur taste in a few moments will be much worser than this as u will be dead.duhhh.but hey u chose it so drink the cup as if it was a chocolate cause it will be the last thing u ll ever drink anyway.think it as a chocolate.''

  • Free will means that you're free to live but also free to die. I don't understand the people oposing peacefull suicide. The ancient greeks did it to. Most ways for peacefull suicide are unavailable to most people which forces people to either keep suffering or turn to other methods like :shooting, hanging, getting hit by a train, jumping off buildings, OD,...

These methods usually leave a mess and cause more stress on othere people then necesary. All that could be avoided.

  • I wonder what my last words would be :(

  • @Debbie321lopez

    PROBABLY THANK GOD

  • If you dont believe in God? then death and dying should be just a big bang

going silent! If you do believe in God~then death and dying should be a

peaceful hopeful experience, that leads to another Life.

  • A Very Brave Lady indeed...

  • Poor woman. She most likely had a family who loved her and her disease wasn't even lethal! She didn't have to kill herself. It angers me so much that these cold-hearted bastards could just sit idle as a sweet old woman ends her life for no reason at all. May God have mercy on her soul.

  • You people are so ignorant. If a doctor knowingly gives someone access to the drugs they need to kill themself, they are committing murder whether you wish to accept it or not. It's the law and has nothing

    To do with religion.

  • Having seen this, I am at a loss. I may not agree with the decision of a person with a terminal illness, such as Lou Gehrig's disease, to seek assisted suicide, although I can at least understand what led to that point. But I cannot begin to comprehend what would cause a person who appeared happy and vibrant, with a NON-terminal illness, to do the exact same thing. I happen to be religiously devout, but even from a secular perspective, I don't think I would understand. This is very sad. --SJR

  • @WitzlawTN I'm very much an atheist but I completely share your feeling about this. Her action leaves me gobsmacked.

  • wtk¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • Completely Disgusting!

  • Probably didn't occur to you who promote assisted murder -self-murder, but if you watched her you would see that though her 'verbal' -talk was about sleeping, she KEPT tryingto open her eyes. Had someone truly been 'ready' for this kind of death -sleep, that person would have shut her eyes and gone to sleep. No one out here, yes no one can say for her, that her eyes opening --till the last moment was not that woman saying, 'hey, I changed my mind. I want to live. Suicide is unnatural.

  • @superbooks7 What? You can't even create a coherent sentence. Why would you even say "murder" when you mean "suicide"? There's a reason why they're two different words; it's because they have two different meanings! And what does it even mean if she was trying to open her eyes - that's likely a physiological reaction. Not to mention you immediately make your own point moot. I would also claim that naturality is in most cases nothing more than a pretentious concept.

  • @TheGerogero Learn to read. When I say MURDER, I mean murder. When someone "helps" someone commit suicide that "helper" is committing murder whether you admit it or not facts remain. And suicide is self-murder, whether you admit it or not. Enough said. Facts are facts. Next time say what you "mean" instead of trying to tell others what they "mean". What I said is what I mean. What you say is only your interpretation of what you read in my note here.

  • @superbooks7 Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that people don't want to be murdered. Some people want to commit suicide. And that seems to me to be an irrevocable distinction and as such the two can't be equated. This argument is off the top of my head; I'm not even well versed in this matter. On a side note, because you do equate the two, you're also saying murder is unnatural.

  • @TheGerogero You are right. Murder is unlawful killing of ANOTHER human being. "Self-murder" is an oxymoron, although Christians beg to differ.

  • @superbooks7 Helpers do not become murders because they only help set things up to make it easier. I would understand if they forced her to drink but as you can see for yourself, she did it herself. Whats self-murder? There is a word for that and its called suicide (aka murder and suicide are two different things).

  • @7aberraman

Like so many others here you need to stick to things you actually know about. Latino rap songs seems your go you pathetic cocksucking moron......go fuck ya mother. Everyone else has.

  • I am willing to defend her right to end her life as she wishes. She seems like the kind of person who would have defended my right to do so, had I been in her shoes! She was happy with friends and eating delicious chocolate as she passed away. It makes me happy to think that if I were unlucky enough to develop an incurable disease, I can end my life in peace and not have to suffer until my organs gradually fail...

  • Why the fading away towards the end of the movie?

It should show the whole process of this assisted suicide.

It seems to me, this is one of the best methods i've seen so far.

    Only lagging behind drug overdose.

But then again, without this dying lady's final moments, makes it impossible to judge which is the best way of auto-killing.

I've seen death caught on camera on Youtube before.

I don't think seeing this old lady peacefully pass away should be an issue.

  • @comeonbrazil An exit bag and a helium or nitrogen tank is probably the best and most reliable way to actively kill your self. You lose counsiousness almost immediately. 5-10 seconds if done right. After that you die within 3-10 minutes. Death will probably take longer than the method in this video, but you will experience much less time being counsious in the suicide act. And it is a much easier method than getting restricket drugs. And drug overdose is not always successful.

  • @skotten90 actually, with this specific mix of medication, it only takes a few short minutes. This mix is 100% effective. If you take it, then change your mind, there is nothing they can do to save you, that's why they check these people out thoroughly to make sure it's the right informed choice for them.

  • @blessedmommy73 Okay. Well, it seems very effective in this video indeed. But the drugs is probably very hard to get for civilians, like you and me. Therfor helium is recommended if you want to take your own life if you live in placed where assisted suicide is not legal.

  • @skotten90 I hope you're not considering this...lol

  • @blessedmommy73 Yes I actually consider the helium method in the near future. I have made some research on this subject because of several issues. No terminally illness or any serious mental problems though. But my philosophical position allows suicide as a rational solution. So im actually looking forward to it. And suffocating from helium should be most peaceful and painless method while still easily obtainable for the average joe. Right to die groups recommend this method.

  • @skotten90 please consider getting help rather than turning to suicide. I spent almost all 38 years of my life depressed, having severe anxiety problem, fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, abuse amongst much more. Nothing was helping and I was sooo done trying. You know what saved me? Spirituality and the law of attraction..completely changed my life, it's beyond incredible..I can't even voice it to you in my limited human words. If you want peace and love, consider spirituality.

  • @blessedmommy73 Well thank you for your thoughtfulness sir. But I have no problems at all with the thought of death. I find it quite pleasant. More pleasant than life it self. Im not sad or depressed as im used to the thought now. I have digged deep into philosophical questions with no biased approach, and I find no objective reasons why life is precious or meaningful. So i have no desires to life. And for many people, suicide would seem to be to extreme, but not for me.

  • @skotten90 hmm..not a sir..but mam..lol. I can't help but feel bad for you, because I myself went through so much and didn't see a point to life either, until I searched within myself, agreed to let go of all those negative emotions I was still holding on to and decided to love and accept myself as a good and loving person. Being naturally clairvoyant helped too..I learned that we are actually here to learn..like an important job, so it IS indeed precious. Just take care of yourself.

  • @blessedmommy73 Why do you feel sorry for me? Im not sad or depressed. :P I just see things the way they are with no synthetic additives like false optimism. And spirituality makes no sence. I think its nonsence and self deception. Why not seek the truth when we cannot change it anyway? But okay if that makes you happy then go for it. I support happiness and less suffering. But also whats true. Convincing my self with false hope is pointless....continues in nex post

  • @blessedmommy73 continued from last post: ....when i know that all life is a part of a totally futile and meaningless process, called evolution. So i have no problem at all with suicice. I find it soothing and comforting. Although i do enjoy certain things in life, such as sports, good food, movies, music and so on. But this is minor details which doesnt change what life really is. Life is still not worth struggeling for in the big picture because of its futile standpoint.

  • @skotten90 what about your family and loved ones? What about the intense pain they would feel losing you? I love spirituality because it's all about searching within yourself to know what's the truth,so if that's the way you feel and it brings you comfort, than that is what's right for you. for me though, I had no choice but to become spiritual because the other side threw it right in my face during the worst time of my life..so I quietly listened and it changed my entire life...truly.

  • @skotten90 the important point that I want to get across,is to absolutely value yourself. No one in this world is any better,or worse than anyone else.We are all human beings and are deserving of happiness. I am a HUGE believer in the law of attraction, and I have only been doing this for a very short time and it has made such an difference. Just be good to yourself, take others feelings into consideration because you ARE cared about and loved in this world. you just need to find it.

  • @comeonbrazil This woman was very very concerned about how she would look on camera..probably why she chose not to show that part. But there are others, such as Peter Smedley.

  • Oh was she a beautiful person. Bless her soul and may her spirit live on.

  • What a boss. The entire time during the video she was just relaxing and having a good chat while eating what I'm assuming was her favorite snack. That would be the best way to die in my opinion, having a good time.

  • If assisted suicide become public and legal.

I assume there will be more and more people choose it.

e.g. Depression, mental abuse, physical abuse.....all sorts of unhappiness will end up here.

  • beautiful

  • This video went viral on China

  • Encore un chocolat!

  • I felt something while watching this video. It made me tingle all over.

  • What a beautiful way to die-- How could anyone be against this beautiful woman taking her own way out so peacefully? I'm very happy for her.

  • i tough this is a joke.....but not..well have save journey than.....see you there....hasta la vista

  • She went out like a diva.....!

  • The lady had a bone disease, I'm sure she suffered from chronic pain. What is the point in making her suffer for the next 10 years of her life.

  • How utterly depressing

  • Anybody who is of sane mind should have the right to die on there terms. This should be legalised in every country.

  • Hey Timtothetam: It's better to be a fool in the eyes of man, than a fool in the eyes of God.

  • i cant imagine how any athiest could do this, knowing this is no afterlife and when you die its like it was before you were born for all eternity.

im doing cryonics, but i refuse to let myself die and not exist.

when shes falling asleep, she knows her existence is almost done FOREVER...she wont exist.

    how can anyone do this/!?!?

  • @ZRANCIS If they have achieved all that they have set out to achieve in life. If they are satisfied with no regrets, and just want to RIP.

  • @MrSamRobinson that doesnt make any sense...once their dead, what difference would it make? they still wouldnt exist, it would be just as if they never lived at all

  • @ZRANCIS was she an athiest? hmmm..I think she might have had the surprise of her life then! lol

  • @blessedmommy73 why? would she discover the christians were right? the muslims? the hindus? the urdus? the buddhists? the jews? the jainists? the thebians? the ancient romans? the ancient greeks? the ancient egyptians? the sumerians? the hyttites? the sufis? which one of the thousands of man-made religions were YOU raised to believe?

  • @ZRANCIS I'm trying to comment on the comment that was sent ot me, but I can't find it. I was actually raised catholic, and this is where I became so incredibly uncomfortable with religion all together, as I learned not to trust religion. Religion has become the best way to scare people and to manipulate them...so I refused to listen. what I actually did was search within myself for answers, and incredibly enough, the answers were there. I trusted my instincts and THAT is my "religion".

  • wow. took me a minute to figure out this wasnt fake

  • It's just so sad that life, semingly has no apparent meaning or purpose to these pro death people. They are really to be pitied. As for me, I'll take and revere my life to it's natural conclusion. Statisticaly, about 14 years from now.

  • @emptynester7985 Wow, most idiotic comment ever.

  • Classy right to the end!

  • Good night

    Good sleep

    She was released from pain.

  • What a way to go. :-)

  • meurs vieille folle!...

  • Lyn7721 Dang it! We were all given our lives, our mothers wailed out in pain as they felt like their bodies were being torn in half, while delivering us. Some of us believe that a loving God has us in His plan which may span hundreds of generations. I remember a woman who was left quadraplegic in a diving accident in 1967. she pleaded with her freinds to assist in suicide, and cursed them when they refused. Check out JONI EARICKSON TODDA on YouTube.

  • @emptynester7985

And here you have people who live in that pain constantly, some for several years.

Let them die as they wish, rather than suffer. And if there is a "divine plan" then their suicide is obviously a part of it.

  • @Hjernespreng ..well said!

  • Thank God I am Muslim

    all most cry about her

    she look beautiful

  • YAŞADIĞI GİBİ ÖLDÜ

  • she seemed like an amazing person

  • @get1modernwarfare2 i am 33 year old i dont have terminal diease .i want to end my life comfortably i m gonna call DIGINITAS .. and have myself buried over there too

  • Michele - WAIT!! I CHANGED MY MIND!!! WTF I DONT WANNA DIE!!! DAMMIT SAVE ME!!! HELP!!! HELP!!! HELP!!!

the nurse. Too late, sorry..... Nobody can hear you.

  • @7aberraman Oh please, get your unreliable religious context out of here, nothing in your little fantasy books bears any real substance except mythology, grow out of it idiot. She was bored of life and she should have the right to leave this life, it is no detriment to you or anyone except her loved ones, why the fuck should you care you shit?

  • Murder.

  • I believe if the person is in excruciating pain all of the time, or will die a inevitably painful death it should be within their own choice if they so happen to want to stop the pain and end there own life.

  • Comment removed

  • @7aberraman no i don't, okay lets say she isn't suffering, why not let her kill herself, what is the problem?

  • WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST WATCH?!?!??!?!

  • What is the music playing in the background?

  • That is so sad. A persons life is not anyones' to take not even themselves, I just heard a lawyer speak this afternoon, he was bragging how he assisted the suicides of both his parents. For all intents & purposes, got away with murder. I lost three friends over the years to this, and each was a person who left an indelable and positive mark on the human race, each day they lived.

  • thats fucked up,

  • Comment removed

  • Sad

  • @7aberraman i am in total agreement with you, also our maker went through the pain & suffering for us & for us to suffer is to be like him this is cheating he never cheated but then we are weak anyways . there are few that are strong like me. this is becoming the norm for people to think this way. i saw a man who was terminally ill & he chose not to have a suicide doctor euthanize him people called him a religious freak ,bible throwing virus sad part is he choose to live & they think he's wrong.

  • @NAVYWIFEONE I don't believe in anything religious, I don't believe in a lot of religious teachings. I also don't mind if people go through with things like assisted suicide to end your suffering. HOWEVER...The person you saw that had the illness, and chose not to go through with it, because of his beliefs? To me, that's a strong person. Especially when you're faced with such a thing, your beliefs sometimes get washed away, he held strong. Kudos to him. :) -Coming from an atheist.

  • Incredible.. I would not have that much courage.. of course, I'm not terminally ill. This movie really puts things in perspective.

  • @RockinToke she was not terminally ill, read the description. I like how she keeps eating chocolate.!!!

  • @PowerViolenceForever Yeah, some bone disease. Ooops. Prolly really painful I would think.

  • @RockinToke well I'd expect it to be painful. It's awful that people suffer from such ailments. What's more awful is how Modern Medicine clouds the fact that a lot of these ailments are reversible if not curable using the homeopathic method.

  • what was this ladies illness?

  • @badlydrawnboyan I don't think I would _suffer_ from choking. But i would suffer from paternalism. And although this could be more important then the womans job, I wouldn't want her to lose it. But I wouldn't want to die in her hands so. That's just my feeling about it. If Mrs. Causse felt similar - we will never find out.

  • so its painless?

  • She was able to descide about her end, but not able to descide about her last bit of chocolate? That made me sad. There could not be any reason to reufse it to her.

  • @wolfreinecke She may have accidentally choked, and that wouldn't be very peaceful. Peaceful is kind of the point.

  • @resonantdave Ok. But when I would be her, and in my last seconds I want a bit of chocolate, ALTHOUGH I could choke, it's nobodys job to decide about my peacefulness.

  • is nicki a guy?

  • Oh, and fake smileys are because I'm smiling actually. LMAO!!!! If my thoughts are transcended on here through my fingers, why not my mood? :DDDDDDDDD!!!!!!

  • i was not trying to explain anything about islam to you , but you say things and i answer you like sucide bombings that you keep saying , minorty of radicals do things like that for political purposes but regular Muslims dont do that , we are 1.5 billion muslim around the world so if all muslims were terrorists the way you say you wont get the chance to breath the air , too bad you`re brainwashed by the us and jewish medias , good luck .

  • @7aberraman See, here's the thing...yet....again. I ALREADY KNOW THAT. The issue was the stereotype....stereotype....stereotype..

I don't, in any way, believe that the billions of muslims are suicide bombers. You have wasted a bunch of letters telling me that of which I already know and perhaps, we both already agreed upon.

  • Fuck religion! Its 2011.. The illuminati are our rulers

  • @MrPhatphil88 only your opinion it`s not true.

  • @MrBackdoorman69 LMAO!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Ifuckingfartedddd Ah!!! He's a dirty Koran lover. hehe!

  • Those french sure know how to do it in style.

  • Pure Bliss with dignity....BRAVO

  • @8055remm dignity ? so killing yourself is dignity ? fucking ignorant bastard.

  • @8055remm It would appear your comment is in the minority. You are either some sort of Christian fundamentalist fuckwit or completely stupid and I suspect very you not only in age, but in mind which may attribute your complete lack of understanding in this delicate area of life.

I sincerely hope you never have to experience a long, slow and painful death cause by some cancer or the like.

  • @8055remm i am not stupid you dickhead and not a christian fuckwit too , i know this woman , she just got tired of living she `s not suffering any cancer or any shit like that , these people lack discipline in life and they are mentally ill they need to go a hospital for the mentally ill , stop telling about dignity before people start believing your BULLSHIT

  • Does anyone know what song she was listening to? I need that song badly.

  • no..how can that be?

  • Seemed healthy to me hhhmmm..Over here it takes much more than a bone disease to
