@raulga Definitely not an original Samba. But on the show they do ballroom Samba, which can be VERY different than the original. However, this isn't even much of a ballroom Samba choreography wise, could've used a bit more in it. I've always wanted to go to another country and see how Samba is originally done though :)
This is ballroom samba and its hard to have all the samba steps for this song. I have tried to do the ballroom samba for this song. Stacy danced for the same song in season 2 and she didn't have many samba steps in it as well. NIce song for freestyle not ballroom samba

I don't know why Kirstie's got higher score in samba than Kendra. I mean, Kirstie looked like she's extremely tired in her samba, got very careful, and she's not in sync with Maks... If Kirstie's got 9's, this should've had at least a 10, or even better, 10's across the board.

Much as I'm enjoying watching Kirstie and Maks-this Samba was WAY underscored...at the very least it should have been marked higher than Kirstie's easily.:) Samba *is* about shaking it and having a good time out on the floor...and there was more of both in this dance-the technique was better as well. Kendra and Louis KILLED this!. BTW-lamaddussa: I worked as a dancer to support myself and my son while going to school full time- Karina made the CHOICE to pose for Playboy-are either of US sluts?

Much as I'm enjoying watching Kirstie and Maks-this Samba was WAY underscored...at the very least it should have been marked higher than Kirstie's easily.:) Samba *is* about shaking it and having a good time out on the floor...and there was more of both in this dance-the technique was better as well. Kendra and Louis KILLED this!. BTW-lamaddussa: I worked as a dancer to support myself and my son while going to school full time- Karina made the CHOICE to pose for Playboy-are either of US sluts?

@CanuckFootballFan Her scores were just right. You also have to look at the dance technically. I'm no pro, but some of it just looked a little messy, not so clean as it could have been.
I will say this, however, she did improve and she did deserve at least one 9 from the judges, which she got.

there's alot more to women than just the crazy stripper, the demure housewife, or the feminist businesswoman. Men and women comes in all varieties. look, i mean her no harm, but she's a vacuous sex worker. anyone who has a "relationship" with that pimp "hefner" is a prostitute. she's a poor example of a woman and an atrocious role model for young viewers of this show. i have all the sympathy in the world for women who make the sorts of choices she did, because they may seem to be the best of the options they find to be available to them. at the same time, by their behavior they degrade themselves and other women.

people can be sexy & beautiful, but when they sell themselves out into the world of sex work they degrade themselves. complex and difficult psychological and difficult socio-economic realities drive women into these situations & i feel sympathy for women who feel these are their best choices. but when they make those choices they do degrade themselves, they participate in creating a social reality of degraded women, and by association they also degrade women in general.

no, i'm not saying that she's a bad person. but i am saying that she has degraded herself, and the history of behavior is generally degrading to women. she's a horrible role model for young viewers of the show, and she's also a lousy dancer. i'm not saying that she's a bad person. i wish only the best for her. i think that about covers it.

I don't look at male strippers, party goers, or guys that pose in playgirl as an embarassment to my gender, I just acknowledge that it was something they wanted to do. So good for them.

wrong. sex work is pathologically unhealthy. it's a consequence of developmental trauma, psychological problems and economic disparity. it's unlikely you'd find a single mental health professional who would disagree with that. sex for pay is a very different thing from mutually desired sex in a healthy relationship. obviously, you're a male, & you're clearly out of touch with how much more deeply social pathologies such as sexual abuse, sexism & economic disparity affect women...

@lamaddussa : Wrong. Sex work is unhealthy in your point of view. There are people who don't have a history of sexual abuse nor any other mental health related problems. Not all woman see sex as something personal. For alot of men and also women, sex is merely a tool to please their sexual needs or to work in some kind of cases. I do admit there are alot of cases in which abuse, mental health problems are present, but not all of them.
