If I were in an office making an 'unauthorized' video like this, I would talk in a lower tone of voice just in case someone happened by. It just doesn't ring true to me.
If she's shooting this video alone, who is there to zoom out the camera starting at 2:43? She certainly didn't do it, because she has both her hands visible, holding her bangs. Also, is it routine for a PC in a'boring accounting office' to even have a video cam? I don't think so. If she's toting her own vidcam around in her purse and setting it up that's pretty risky for someone who is a lowly temp to be doing. It's a nice cam too, for someone with no money for luxuries.

For all who are clueless to the entertainment industry, I feel compelled to educate. Entertainment Industry 101: Lesson 1 - A casting director is far superior than to chase after a no-named girl to tell her about her hair...if she had said the P.A., I might have had an easier time believing it -- but that's a bottom rung position.
Lesson 2 - You don't get a copy of your audition tape -- not even the "big stars" get one, it's just not how things work, not even for LucyinLA.
RIDICILOUS! Didn't we learn anything from "reality shows" that were conveniently created for self-promotion! Ashley Angel Parker, Ashlee Simpson, Cheyenne Kimball...think about it people. A "starving actress" asking mommy for money, but has a pricey enough camera to give an impeccable picture, when most stuff on You Tube is of far less quality? I'm not "hating" -- just THINK about it before you jump on the fan band-wagon. It's time we stopped being zombies!

I really like your videos and I think you're pretty, smart, and have a great personality. I hope things work out and you find success in acting. I see in most, if not all of your videos, that you are constantly adjusting your hair and brushing it back off of your face. This is distracting to viewers, and I think you should find a way to keep it off of your face during auditions (unless playing with your hair is part of the script).
I worked the Hollywood scene for about 6 years and worked as an assistant in many casting calls. First off, there is NO way that the casting director would chased her out and grabbed her hair. No way. And secondly, there is no way that Lucy would have the casting video footage. No way!! This whole thing is fake, people!!
Omigod, I hope the CD never finds this video, or that you are perfectly fine with her never calling you again, because a personality like that totally would take it out on you if she found out you were "badmouthing" her! :) Apart from that, how dare she!!!

First of all, lots of casting directors are failed actors, so you can see where all the nastiness comes from. Secondly, you did the best thing you could by showing her with kindness at her rudeness. You became the better higher person. And thirdly, remember that andthing distracting in a video will be what the video reviewers will focus on. She had a point, but she never made it in the industry because she probably was always like that to others and it turned people off.
And finally, lots of times in a casting session, the videographer is just a casting assistant. Someone who really has no say whether you'll get that callback. Remember, act for the camera, not always for the person behind it.
You should have talked back to her (in a smart way, don't insult). I know you are in need but you have to show a strong self-confidence so nobody can mess with you. That's the key of success. B.t.w, I find your hair great the way they are. Don't cut them! I'm trying myself as a designer and i'm also interested in the movie industry. I'm all alone here. My mom, family and friends are in germany. Mom acts like your mom too :) But it shows that they love us and care :)

All this negativity!!! She doesn't have the audition footage dumb dumb. Look at her shirt...she just cut away to a demonstration right there in her office. Also, the CD may have had words for her because she said they knew eachother from Texas, remember? Duh! Stop hatin yall!

I really like your videos and I think you're pretty, smart, and have a great personality. I hope things work out and you find success in acting. I see in most, if not all of your videos, that you are constantly adjusting your hair and brushing it back off of your face. This is distracting to viewers, and I think you should find a way to keep it off of your face during auditions (unless playing with your hair is part of the script).

I worked the Hollywood scene for about 6 years and worked as an assistant in many casting calls. First off, there is NO way that the casting director would chased her out and grabbed her hair. No way. And secondly, there is no way that Lucy would have the casting video footage. No way!! This whole thing is fake, people!!

First of all, lots of casting directors are failed actors, so you can see where all the nastiness comes from. Secondly, you did the best thing you could by showing her with kindness at her rudeness. You became the better higher person. And thirdly, remember that andthing distracting in a video will be what the video reviewers will focus on. She had a point, but she never made it in the industry because she probably was always like that to others and it turned people off.

And finally, lots of times in a casting session, the videographer is just a casting assistant. Someone who really has no say whether you'll get that callback. Remember, act for the camera, not always for the person behind it.

You should have talked back to her (in a smart way, don't insult). I know you are in need but you have to show a strong self-confidence so nobody can mess with you. That's the key of success. B.t.w, I find your hair great the way they are. Don't cut them! I'm trying myself as a designer and i'm also interested in the movie industry. I'm all alone here. My mom, family and friends are in germany. Mom acts like your mom too :) But it shows that they love us and care :)
