Damn it this manga is awesome ! The anime too ! I read all the raws, and i wish all would be translated (it's finished there just needs to be translation from a sub team). There will be no season 2 of the anime because those jap's don't like this... I mean wtf ? I don't watch cyclism but i fell in love with this manga because of the insane character developement for a sport manga (it was pretty good in my opinion) and the epic moments and let downs witch made the manga flow.

@kylahikari24 Manga is over. 17 volumes, it's just that the sub teams are not focalised on it. The manga was supposed to have 30 volumes or so but in japan it's not very popular. Tthere was a petittion that had like 15.000 signatures but it was mostly people who did not buy wsj, or pay to watch the show, so why would they give a shit ? Anyways it's over, no season 2.

After watching this show, I actually thought about substituting a bicycle for my 50km daily commute. But then, I saw a picture of a cyclist whose brain got splattered on the pavement. I asked "why is this crap not in the news?" Then I saw the statistic. 3 people a week die from bicycle/motorcycle related accidents in my country. Stuff like that wasn't on the news because it was so freakin common. Apparently, cycling, like most things which come from japanese cartoons, wasn't a very good idea.

Also they are too aggressive that's why they get into accidents. But imagine this if all people in our own country have the right discipline then none of those things would happen. Has a great cast of characters, good and interesting main character. HEATED UP CYCLING ACTION ^^ .. And tons of other things... AND MOST OF ALL! It has chemistry, which make a anime good. ^^

I never knew that cycling was that interesting before watching this.. But now I have re-watched it for about 7 times.. And everytime after watching a couple of episodes, I take my bike and ride for ~10 km .. ^^

Without even watching the anime I can tell that this is probably about a loser who is overshadowed by his biking overlords, decides to join them and slowly claws his way to the top with this sheer determination while your standard issue big-boobed squeaky-voiced girl follows him around blushing different shades of pink. He will also keep chanting "I will become the best!" at the top of his lungs through the whole series.

It is really a well rounded anime.

It was a great motivation for me. =D So I used it to get my younger brother hooked into cycling!
