This certainly is more exciting, then the start sequences of Morrowind, or Oblivion...even though Oblivion has a bonus for trying to bring that start dungeon from Daggerfall back, but it still just didn't work that well.
In Daggerfall I always enjoyed the start dungeon (great way to test out the new char right from the start), even after the 10000th new character, but in Oblivion it just got so dull, after the second walk through.
I also want to play Skyrim now! >_< Cuuurse you Bethesda!
@echschen oh yeah I had to get a mod to skip that starting tutorial in Oblivion. Really tedious. Same with Fallout 3. At least Morrowind just threw you off the boat and there you are.
Skyrim continues to impress me the more I play it. Beware of wanting to play it more the more of this you watch :)
This is quite surprise, but thank you for doing this. SInce Skyrim is quite popular, I hope that mighty Jim'tar and his epic quest won't attract horde of trolls. Only time will tell :/
@Trusteft I got about 2 and a half hours of my first session, and a bit more from a bit later on after that having recovered from the shock. It is pretty much exactly what I expected so far, which is good.
I kind of expected one of the intro shots to feature someone being shot in the knee. I have never played this game, either. Watching this, I must say I was distracted in the end by the dynamic-reflective specular shading style. It felt artificial and plasticky. Not the right thing to have in wood and stones, in my opinion... At least not that much.
@Bisqwit hehe, yeah that joke was old before it started. I never really noticed the shading thing. I do like the graphics though, but it's mostly the scale and freedom that appeals to me. The graphics probably look better with the settings higher since I still can't run it at max.
Bought a new pc then? I don't think I will revisit this game as much as I did with Morrowind, or perhaps even Oblivion. But the first proper playthrough of it was great, you've got plenty to look forward to.
@jj655321 yeah got it around Christmas time, but was doing the 12 days stuff and then finishing up Star Control 2 before getting into this. I'm already quite into this game, and yeah the second playthrough is never the same.

LMAO! when roof entrance fails.....just use the front door.

@Good2KnowGames hehe yes indeed. And then when the door fails, go back up the stairs while the dragon patiently waits for you to find your way :)

@JimPlaysGames haha yes sir, that is how it works in skyrim. The dragon's A.I. is smarter than the human A.I.

@FreemanOfNewcastle haha, it would all be worth it to finish the game and say:
"Oh and one more thing... it's been emotional."

@JimPlaysGames lol yea, although I suspect with Skyrim it might be a long wait till you got a chance to say it.

Hearing you play this, I now wish you record more, especially the first few hours with your fresh look at things.
Soooo tempted to buy this.
