  • Trying to avoid sounding like a noob but what is DDReam anyway?

  • @tysonultima DDReam is a program that displays sound spikes so that you can step things more accurately. The intro shows a few examples. 0:12

  • this actually looks very good for a technical file. Ever thought about submitting this to the hard songs megapack?

  • you should make a beginner difficulty without any of the bursts being holds, that would be cool.

  • Hmm... You mean like multiples? Ex: 48ths into 24ths. Like that?

  • in the comments you said "Any burst exceeding 64ths was converted to a hold." i meant if you didn't do that. i'm not sure if ddream can use notes faster than 64ths, but i think stepmania 4.0 goes to 192nds.

  • DDReam goes to 192nds. Skittle notes exceeding 64ths constitute over half the notes here.

  • so then there's nothing stopping you from making an even more technical version of this, where none of the bursts are converted into holds.

  • Wow, so many doubles! That style is so cool.

  • It's a very heavily-layered chart, brah ;).

  • what was that blue spec on the right hand side of the screen?

  • You mean the color diamond in DDReam?

  • lol not that, there is a little blue spec on the right hand side of the screen while you were showing the sim.

It looks like it moves upward towards the life bar. Maybe it's nothing but it caught my attention.

  • lol Oh I see it. Yeah that's just how the blue "place marker" looks with a crappy-quality video =P.

  • place marker? is that showing how much of the song is left?

  • Yessir

  • is this music?

  • Genre: Electronic

Style: Breakbeat / IDM / Experimental

    Like Orange Dust IMO.

  • It's a bit awkward the way you've understepped or missed some of the 16th patterns then go crazy on all the bursts. (for example, you're missing some of the amen break derived 16ths) Just need to listen closer I guess

  • I intentionally omitted some of the 16ths (generally the less pronounced ones). I tried layering some sections more but I didn't care for the flow. A lot of it is just preference of course. ;)

  • Omitting less pronounced 16ths only makes sense if it's to make an easy chart; i.e. if it wasn't on the same chart as 64ths and 32nd jumpstreambursts. ;)

  • lol I know. I thought people might gimme crap for doing that =P. Ha ha.

  • lol same BG as Darksonics E.P.M sim, i can get a B on this pretty easily, hoping for an A soon :P 5/5!

  • Yeah I made the graphics for that file. I loved the background so much I figured I'd use it for one of my own. And an A would be insane!!

  • Not a song that should be cut. Should of stepped the whole thing. But that jut me.

    Operationstrawbarry

  • I may eventually. I'd just swap out the mp3 file.

  • This is insane!

But I think I can do that :P

By the way, I dont know what is the difference between using DDReam and stepping by the normal way... =S

    5/5 stars!

  • See those pictures in the intro, dude? That's the DDReam program. Biggest reason why you can generally step things better using it is because you can follow the music spikes. See how the notes align there?

  • Man that is crazy, ill have to try i sometime.
