My vote goes to Newt. His plan is realistic and HUMANE. I don't support illegal immigration, but there are some people who have been law abiding citizens and have actually paid their taxes. It is my opinion that Newt Gingrich's immigration policy is not realistic. It would be a very complicated endeavor to create local committees to decide on the potential deportation of other community members. Often, those people that get involved in such committees have very strong opinions towards one extreme or the other. It would be a very divisive approach. Also, it is not in the best interests of anyone to create another class of citizenship. That could only lead to discrimination.
I must add I don't completely blame the elders and role models for the segregation that exists. Through the history of man, tribal loyalties have been important for the survival and successful reproduction of those people. This has naturally led people to surround themselves with people that are the most like them, idealistically and many times racially. It's time for people to take a chance and interact with people that may have a different point of view. That's how real progress is made
