I don't see why 1971 isn't a great example of division between Muslims? The whole basis for creating to Pakistan was because of their common religion. That is true. However it is a lot more complex than that. Urdu was supposed to be the national language to unite the country. Keep in mind that Urdu was not the language of "West" Pakistan. It was the language of the Muslims of India who helped create Pakistan. Sindhi, Balochi, Pashto were/are the languages of West Pak. Bengalis were discriminated against but so are Baloch and Urdu speaking people (up to today). It is not that simple that West Pak. discriminated against E. Bengal.

The lady with the Burqa giving a reason of "itihad" was a ridiculous analogy (no offence). Anyways the past has gone by. We got what we wanted and are proud of our culture and heritage. The only person in this film who even went close to the right answer was the ist lady at the beging (not with the glasses and the girl at the end. The rest of them I feel pity and sorry for them. India had nothing to do with 1971. We were sick of West Pakistan's brutality, hostility, prejudice and racism (interms of language and culture). If it was not for India's friendliness we would not have achieved it and we still are good friends.

mimeNo9- When I said that we and India as a nation are friends I meant that we do not share any political rivalry with one another like Pakistan and India shares dues to Kashmir. Nonetheless we still continue to have a good relationship w/o any serious conflict.
